Oo. Oo. Oo.

I'm hot under the collar and need to calm down.

I just found out that my pedal support mount is badly worn on the clutch side. Last summer I found on the drivers floor mat a C-clip for which I could never figure out what it was for but I saved it and asked some repair folks if they new what it was for? About four mechanics said don't worry about it. DUH! I also had a Dodge dealer in the mountains check for a clutch pedal squeak and showed them the C clip and they told me they didn't know what the clip was for and that they sprayed some lube on the clutch pedal pivot.

Yesterday I started to look under the dash and saw a plastic bushing hanging from the left end of the shaft and looked at the shaft end with an inspection mirror and thought the shaft was worn so today I was able to located a new pivot shaft and 4 bushings at a local dealer. I came home late this afternoon and torn into the project. Really not too bad so far disconnecting the usual stuff and getting the shaft out. That's when I noticed the bracket is very badly worn and I need the replace it.

So... . Anyone now the cost for this bracket and the best place to buy one? I tried TDR search,Rockauto and a Google search with little results.

TIA,
Tom

Thanks Brandon, nice of you to offer it. I was able to located a bracket here and have it installed now.

FWIW fellow members, I did have to remove the steering column in order to get the bracket out and back in.

Also a heads up about the stop light switch, it's a One time use item so I had to buy a new switch at the dealer for ~ $27. 00 plus tax.
That was an easy install compared to the other removal and install.

Feels good to have that done. No more squeak.
