Can anyone suggest a good all around repair shop in San Diego for my 24V 99'? I spent almost 7 hrs. today @ Cummins Cal-Pacific only to find out that their tech needed 3 hrs. to replace a lift pump. It seems he "wasn't up" on Dodge pickups and needed extra time on my dime. I bought the pump and brought it home for a driveway install tomorrow.

Thanks for the info. in advance.

Bill

I've never used their service dept but if it is as good as their parts dept it is the place to go. They are a authorized Cummins center. They get their parts from Cal-Pacific but sell them for about 15% less.

JT Diesel Truck Service........

He used to be a dealer tech. Now the only thing he works on is Dodge Ram Diesels. Had him do a few things for me. Very well versed in all the cummins applications. 24V & 12V

Thanks jerryrig & BWB. I don't always have the time to do my own work and a good, reliable Cummins mechanic is worth his weight in gold to me.

Family in town from BC for 10 days so I can't install my pump today. Rats!:D

Hey Bill give me a buzz if ya have any questions. I do all my own work because I don't trust others. I get my parts from Cal Pacific because of price and they are close. I live in El Caon off the 67. My number is 619-401-0609.

Thanks Tom. I'll give you a call when I am running short on time/skill. Got to do the lift pump today afterall. 3 hrs. labor @ Cal Pacific. What a joke! My 1st one and except for a fountain of diesel because I was too stupid to tighten all the banjo's, it was no problema. I need to lay low on the bombs since the Mrs. is a thrifty soul and doesn't appreciate the add on's or expense. An EZ will be next when $$ allow. Silencer ring fell out today somehow. Must have been that loose banjo that did it. Even stock with a few changes that Cummins does sound and move me along sweet. While @ C-P, while waiting for hours, I saw 2 new BIG marine engines (1250 HP each) getting rigged with wiring harness' and gauges for a 56' pleasure boat... ... a ship! I saw a total of 6 or 7 in the yard and the tech. said all Cummins marine engines come with a K&N unless the builders spec's. say otherwise. No problem with noise & excess dirt in a boat hull I expect. Still, hey guys, Cummins uses open element K&N's... ... ... put on @ the factory. That should fuel a few more fires.

Thanks for the note.
