Need to get a set of Tires/Wheels from Ohio to Louisiana

Back Up camera

Hi all,

So my bfg all terrains are almost gone with less than 30k on them. The michelin ltx/ms had around 60k on them . I was looking at the toyo open country mt as it has a high weight capacity in the E rating. 3700lbs I think. How is the tread wear on these? or do I go back to the ltx/ms or the open country at ?

so many choices. i even thought of puting on the 3rd gen 17" wheels do they fit?

Howdy,

I've got the Toyo's and they're great, I've only got 5000 on them but with the tread depth gauge they show no wear at all yet. That's all towing miles. My friends are running the A/T's and don't like them for towing?

I have the Bridgestone Dueler Revo's in stock size. I really like them. I'm going to put them on the wifes expedition when the tires on it wear out. Jeff

Stay with the Michelins. I know of an excellent 4wd shop, near you, in Jersey that can hook you up. Call'em up and ask for Chuck. He's the coolest guy around.

Slim, How come they don't like Toyo At's for towing???? I have them and was wondering if there was something different about them. It seems that my BFG AT's felt much better when towing but I never had the 5er on with them. Got 45k out of the BFG's. Every time I change tire brands they always feel different, so I can never tell if they are to my liking till I put some miles on them.

BFG now has 285/75/16 in a E load range. I am trying to decide between them or the Toyo MT's also. My BFG's have been good tires but I want to go back to a E load range.

my mfg at's have lasted half as long as my michelin ltx ms. I need a tire with a high load rating as I am getting a 32' gn trailer and it has to last a good amount of mileage.

I visited Discount Tires and asked for a price on "E" 's. They quoted me $208. 00 ea. today. My local Toyo dealer quoted approx. the same on Toyo M. T. s I have the 285' "D"s presently and have only one complaint,I keep losing weights. The installers say it's because of the rim guard and the sales staff says "no problem" My reply is "why am I on my sixth trip to rebalance one tire"? This particular tire takes nine oz. of weight while the other ones use maybe 2-3 oz. :(

I also have the Bridgestone Dueler Revos and LOVE them. Especially for wet weather.

I am close to 50k miles on them, more then half of those miles were towing moderate to heavy.

I figure I have another 5k to 10k left on these tires too!

And I haven't exactly been friendly to them either!

Best 16" tire for wear is the Michelin XPS Rib or Traction, Steel case so it dissipates heat well. Heat is the killer of tires. Trust me I haul heavy and have run everything under the sun, Nothing wears like this tire.
