I have 26k on my truck. and am needing to replace the tires... way too early!!!

The back tires are all but bald may last another 3-5k. The fronts got replaced a month or two ago after a "road hazard" fixed one for me.

I want some really long wearing tires I plan to get all 6. any Ideas?

I see a set of dual designs for sale in the classifieds. Any opinion on wheather its worth the money? The guy wants $2600 for the set.

I'm thinking I'll probably spend the $600-700 on a new set of tires instead.

I don't do a lot of towing but when I do I tow a lot of weight. I have a 4x4 but rarely use it, so off road performance is not high on the priority list.

I have noticed that the off road tires do tend to carry more tread. I suspect that the tread is softer.

I may should not be talking but I have a friend witha 00 dually 4x4 and he gets about 30,000 out of a set of Michelins. He says they last longer than any he has found. He does tow quite often also. I have a 2500 so I can't honestly say.

I work with a guy with a 96 dually. He just bought a set of Michelin M/Ss. I, however, chose a set of Cooper A/Ts after talking with a tire dealer. I just didn't want the Michelins. I don't know about longevity, but I'll let you know in a couple of years. :p

I put cooper's on about a year ago. I'm not impressed with the way they are wearing. I was thinking of checking in to michelin's also. I had a set on my van and they lasted the longest.
