I am looking in to adding a propane systum on to may '95 auto does any one out there now where i should go to get it. who sell's the best one or are thay all just about the same i have fond one for as high as $1000. 00 plus the tank and as low as $600. 00 plus the tank. any help with this would be great.

p. s. if you have one on your truck how do you like it? i will be useing it for towing most of the time. :) :)

Call Quad( Al Baker IV ;)) at Quadzilla here in Fort Worth. 817 306 2444. He sells a lot of propane and diesel performance stuff.

Be sure to tell him I sent you... that way he owes me one.

Edwin - I notice in your signature it says that your truck is pretty much stock, though you don't mention any upgrades to your Auto transmission. You may want to think about upgrading the trans before you add propane. Just an FYI

we'll the transmission was rebuilt by a guy that was using it for towing so i think it should be able to handle the tork. and if not i will be looking at a rebuild or replacing it with a standard. i took out my #6 plate last month so think it will be o. k.

I haven't asked Quad how much his kit is but I'm waiting for a tank to come in myself.

What are you looking for in a kit? full time, power shot, dual stage?? some guys run a small hp setup all the time. Others run a high hp kit only when they need it. Others have dual stage (both).

Let me know I'll see what he's got.

if your truck is stock, don't go with propane. u need more fuel to be able to feel the difference propane makes. Propane can also be danagerous to the moror if not adjusted right or if it is used before warm up. if u do buy one, ATS propane is safer, cause there isn't a chance of liquid propane getting in your motor, unlike bullydogs

I use (and sell) the Powershot 2000 system, it's one of the safest systems on the market. I've used it for over a year now.

There are other options you may want to explore, like rebsram says. Torque plate, injectors, pump modifications... . all can be done for less than the cost of a propane system, and no need for refills... 400 HP and more, is easily and cheaply achieved on a 12 valve with a few low cost mods...

Propane is great, in the right hands, on the right truck, used at the right time.

i had a fuel plate on my truck but was getting 12mpg with it so i took it off and went back to a stock plate now back to getting 18mpg. so this is why i'am looking into propane. i think it will give me the hp i'm looking for and the mpg too? but with all the talk about all the mods i need to put back on just to get the power out of the propane i think i may just leave it stock? like i seed i will use it for towing most of the time. is it worth it?
