Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Washers on OF valve

Gents,

I need some help. I have been reading many of the threads on stacks and am very interested in a set myself. Is there any relationship in the cut on the top of the stack and the noise in the cab? Is there any reason not to just do a hot rod single stack? AND has anyone done the exhaust cut out through the hood like I see on some of the pulling trucks? That looks pretty cool and doesn't take any space out of the bed... ... ...

Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.

PS - Going DTT transmission this week. Can't wait to get the truck back!

Better get a fiberglass lift off hood - don't know how you would open it with a stack.

The back of the engine, turbo, and downpipe all sit under the cowl lip. So without some real restriction-adding bends in the exhaust, I think you'd have to exit through the windsheild or cab.

I'm sure some law enforcement agency would have something to say about a hot stack that exited out the fender and hung off the side of the truck.
