That's good info, thank you. I've been wondering if drilled/slotted would cure that problem. I've avoided them so far because I didn't like the "swish swish" sound during braking on my 2nd gen with slotted rotors.
I'm surprised you could hear anything over the rattle of a 24v. I was so glad to sell that truck and get into my '07 5.9.

I heard a faint swish swish sound when I first put them out but really dont hear it anymore, I find the brakes to be very quiet overall.

I should also not that I have 37" tires so the brakes do see more load then a stock truck.

My 2013 2500 CTD is about ready for new pads, both front and rear. I've gotten 115K miles out of the original OEM pads. I tow 3 different trailers. A 12K lb. 5th Wheel, a 18' car hauler and a enclosed cargo trailer. I use my exhaust brake and tow/haul 100% of the time.

What pads are you folks using? Not really looking to change the rotors unless the upgrade would be worth the extra money.

Where's the best place to get them?

Thanks for the help!
I just did the same 4 weeks ago...2012 2500... Cummins... using exhaust brake and tow/haul 90% of the time... had 108k on the factory pads... replaced them with Mopar OEM... was very happy with the wear on the Mopar pads

Has anyone had their factory rotors turned? I was planning on replacing my front with power stop extreme towing and having the factory rotors turned. Are they thick enough to have em turned? Has the factory rotor and power stop pads been a decent combo?

As far as I have been told, you cannot turn a HD Ram rotor....at least for my 2014 2500. I had a shimmy and a pull to the left upon braking using Powerstop Pads for a while. Asked to see if I could get the rotor turned and nobody would touch it! I bought a new rotor and switched to Akebono pads and love them. The feel is far better and so is the stopping power. I was also impressed with the stock pads and always bought the OE Value Line pads when I needed to but could not find them for this truck. That's why I first tried the Powerstop pads. I'm sure pad brands are like oil brands.

I have had 3rd gen brake rotors turned, they are thick enough.
