Pac Break

Drained & Flushed Cooling System....

I herd that getting a new air intake manifold is a waist of money, because the system is pressurized, and only pushes so much air through anyway. Whats the deal on those?

I can't speak for "sceintific research" but from the seat of the pants feel they're a waste of money. If you plan on doing guages and an injection of some sort than they'll just simplify that a bit. If you're make 600hp or something than yeah it might help. I bought the ATS one, it's nice... to look at. My $0. 02

It depends on the generation. On a 2nd gen they aren't much of an upgrade, but on a 3rd gen they make a nice difference in turbo spool and mid range power. At high boost/rpms you are correct that they won't make as much of a difference.

Build a signature with your truck specs so we can direct answers at your specific vehicle. Discussion Forums > User Control Panel > Edit Signature.

Here is why they are beneficial on a 3rd gen.

AH64ID,

Nice photo and explanation. I almost have enough saved up for my gauges (Edge Insight CTS) and then next on the list is an intake manifold. Thanks for the info.

James,

Yeah, add that truck info. These guys are great at looking at your truck's specs and then providing good info/feedback. Good luck!
