new fuel level sending unit?

Been away from the site for a bit, and hope I'm not re-hashing any recently asked questions, but... Is there any talk of any after market sending units out there to replace the pc. of #%*@!

punch the searcher and type in (omitting The quotation marks) "CJ Johansson" there's a very good illustrated (photos) instructional to use the existing one and make it behave... have'nt tried it, and the d(*n printer cut off the URL, but looks like a less than $5 parts fix---if that fails, go to Dave Fritz's website and find it there, it'll be worth the cybersearch---rich

yah, I've seen this info before, and I suppose if there isn't a new sending unit out there when I get tired of watching the mileage to determine when I need "go-juice", I'll resort to doing the same. Thanks for the input.
