First, a big thanks goes out to Chace at West Texas Diesel for the super service and support.
I installed the new ISSpro black gauges with red pointers, very close match for the OEM gauges, and a new black dual pod, for the most part install was uneventful.
The question I had was where should I tap the boost? A quick call to Chace and he suggested tapping the air intake horn, another option which Chace agreed was acceptable, that was to use the test port forward of the MAPP sensor on the left side of block.
A quick trip to the local hardware store, $2. 51 later I have what I needed and the boost gauge was connected.
Now for the road trip. EGT reading average 300F-700F unloaded, seeing boost numbers at WOT of 32, cool. I am using boost elbow, see sig for the rest.
I have uploaded a picture for all to see.
All in all the install was worth the time and I would do it again.
Next is AirTabs, which I am now a distributor. I will be doing some tests at the end of the month with my fifth wheel and will report as to changes I see versus without the AirTabs.
