have been reading long enough... high time i joined this crew of wisdom #ad
. after owning 5 other trucks in my past (2 ferds, 2 gm and 1 jeep) I got my cummins in aug and have fallen in love w/ it! but bummer... i am looking to replace the windshield next week due to a bad rock ding #ad
. any advice?

As for your windscreen, ask your dealer about a vendor like a "Glass Doctor". Dealers use airbrush touch-up vendors, dent fixers, pinstripe guys... . and cracked glass repairmen! It may end up being $50 instead of $300... good luck!

Congrats on the new truck. On the windsheild, you might want to call some of the local windsheild places. I found one that doesn't cost me a dime. They even came out to my place to replace it. The only drawback that I could find is that it goes through your insurance. My deductaabe was only $100 so the windsheild shops eats that part of it. Haven't seen the rates go up any so I guess I'm alright.

I have had 3 wind shields replaced, the last on in my 97 2500 gas. I just called the insurance company, they ask who I am going to use to replace it, they call and give the go ahead, then I make sure the the company that is replacing the wind shield brings a Dodge replacement. If you don't tell them that, they will use a third party one and you aren't going to like that. Hope this helps.

yep, state farm did the deal as you described... my buddy's shop qualified for the insurance deal, so he's gonna waive the deductable... i happy and all is cool in carolina, some of the best weather i've seen in a long time. so i guess rid'n w/o the wind screen won't be so bad till it gets here #ad
(just kid'n).
