New Mud Tires - multimile

I just purchased a set of multimile mud tires for my cummins,, at the risk of starting another tire thread,, I like these tires so far, I have had them in the mud and found they do have good traxxion, on the road the steering is a bit vague but looking at the tread - they are more of an off road mud tire than a street tire. My girlfriend says if I want a sportscar then buy one and she will take the cummins. . NOT LIKELY!!!!!! E Has anyone else had experience with the multimile brand - AKA wild country RVT mud tires. The tire guy talked me out of coopers saying these were as good and had a better ride - everything is load range E

I'd be interested to know what size tire/rim your running? I'm guess a 16" tire because you managed to get a load range E.



My cousin ran 2 sets of Wild Country RVT MT's on his 92 Phurd F-250... they didn't last worth a crap. Not sure on the mileage, but he was less that impressed. He switched to mastercraft mudders this time. He is running 33x12. 50xR16. 5's on 16. 5x9. 75 wheels. Hasn't really had them that long so I can't really give a good judgement on them yet.



I originally bought my truck with 16. 5x9. 75 wheels and RVT AT's I never did a single burnout or lit 'em up on purpose and they didn't last 25,000 miles on my truck



I promptly switched to Regul Trailblazer AT's and have been pleased so far, but doubt they will last 30,000 miles.



I do believe however the downfall of mine my cousins tires could be that 33x16. 5's are only rated D, but I do not know. He as well as myself were just less than pleased with our Wild Country experiences. Maybe you will have better luck with the heavier load rating. I truely hope so.



Hopefully this will not start a "tire war" I was only meaning to share my experiences, I appologize if this is taken harshly.

there are only about 4 or 5 big tire manufactures out there right now... mastercraft are made by cooper tires, and the multimile company is more or less a hugh distributer that has enough clout with the big tire manufactures for them to make a tire with no particular label on them as far as who made them. i am pretty sure, but not 100% that cooper makes a lot of tires for multimile.

I've had mud tires on lighter, shorter vehicles than the Ram and they were fine.



The mud tires I have now are producing a very vague steering feeling. If you rock the steering wheel while you go down the road... . the truck just sort of wobbles instead of tracking the changes to steering input you just made.



There's always a tradeoff... .
