Im sure mine would pass the torque test, and just get welded, not going to happen .
In my particular case, they have moved at least once according to the two colored marks on it...I guess my question is on all of this is why bother to fix it if there is no problem with it. Mine has never come loose its still lined up with the paint marks. So far I have just ignored the recall, and have no plans to do anything, unless they do decide to just replace with a new improved part.
My truck now is over 5 years old, if it was going to have a problem with this drag link it would have. I will continue to do like I have ,check it periodically for any issues.

Have you had it aligned? If so that explains it.
Yea, that's kind of what I figured although I have only had the truck 8 months so not sure the alignment history of it. Either way, my wheel is currently off a bit and it has a slight pull, so it will be getting aligned shortly. I was curious why it has two colors, blue and green though.
They did the same thing to me. I assume you have a 14-16? I went in for the tailgate recall in March and she told me only the 13's and 17s/18s were affected by the drag link recall. Then a month later, I get the V06 recall notice for my 16. The only thing I can think of, is they are trying not to slam the dealers all at once with all years affected. Just a guess.I took mine to the dealer with my first Recall Notice back in March, they said it did not need a fix. Received a second recall this month. ???? Not sure if the dealer did not notify FCA they checked it or what?

My 2016 has two marks on it and I've had it since new and it has never been aligned, retorqued or been to the dealer for the recall. Not sure why some have two marks while others have one. Mine is still tight and hasn't budged, dealer's a month out on getting me in for this and the tailgate recall. In my particular case, they have moved at least once according to the two colored marks on it...
The problem with that, is if you go to a tire shop and get new tires and have them align it. Most tire shops I have been around don't have a welder let alone anyone that knows how to use one. Plus even if they did, can't help but wonder if they would charge more to cut and re-weld it. Very few take their vehicles to the dealer for alignments. When they welded the drag link on my truck I asked if this was the final fix, I was told that it was. I asked when front end parts need replaced how would they center the steering wheel after alignment, I was told they would grind the spot weld, adjust the drag link and spot weld again the drag link sleeve and nuts.
This is as stupid as the back up alarm on the 3rd genners which I refused to do. Somebody at NHTSA got slid some cash for this one tooThe dealer must perform the recall as designed by FCA and agreed upon by the federal safety nazis
