I need a new 47RE for my 01. Any recommendations in the Sacramento CA area? I'm happy to buy an already built one and install it myself. Im looking for an upgraded towing version and a quick turnaround. Thank you.

Have you looked into ATS? I was going to put one of their towing 545RFE built trans in my brother's 10' 1500, but we found out he loused up the filter install and it was simply sucking air so not as bad as he thought... The seemed to have a decent price and warranty.

I have heard good thing about ATO transmissions in Rancho Cordova , wouldn't wish an ATS trans on my works enemy as I personally know man people that have had horrible experiences and with the product and support.

How about Goerand transmissions in IA? They were highly respected the last I knew.

Thats what I went with. That one was recommended before on this site. I got it though MTS transmission out of Nebraska. They have been great to work with so far and they're building it now. Had one of the best build times too- only two weeks. Thanks for your suggestion. I'll post again when its in and I'm towing again to give my review.
