Attention: TDR Forum Junkies
To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

Thanks, TDR Staff

now this would be some good eating

How to run a bobcat (skidsteer)......

Yikes, pretty big plant judging from all the equipment for sale. Where/who are the 6 speeds comming from now?

ALSO very depressing to note that the VAST majority of that equipment making "genuine American parts", was Japanese... :{

Might as well just MAKE the damn gears in Japan... :rolleyes:

They're not Getrags

They are DCs brand made in Brazil! Maybe it would have been better if it were a Getrag. Time will tell. Ken Irwin

This is from the Quad 4x4 web page.

http://www.quad4x4.com/Whats New.htm

"Dodge is replacing the NV5600 with a Getrag 6speed. New Venture/MTM lost the contract to supply Daimler-Chrysler with transmissions. New Venture itself was a now dissolved partnership between Daimler-Chrysler and GM. The transmission assembly plant in Muncie, Indiana, is once again part of the GM Powertrain Group. The plant is currently under contract to supply GM with NV4500 and NV3500 transmissions for several more years. The transmission plant is now known as Manual Transmissions of Muncie LLC. "

There is a lot of misinformation about the new G56

Steve They are not Getrags even though there are several places that say they are on the internet. If I could figure out how to make a link on the TDR I put it in so that you could get it from the horses mouth. Do a search on the 3rd Gen forums for Tommyguns posts. He has a link to the DC press release as well as the specs for the new transmission. Ken Irwin

Edit: Heres a link to the thread that discusses this.

NV 5600 spare parts

I don't think this will be an issue as they are pretty heavy duty unit and there are quite a few of them out there. I bet we will be able to get one from Standard Transmission or Blumenthals for quite some time; especially if the G56 falls on it face. :( Ken Irwin
