Just put on a Nordskog fuel pressure gauge on my '99 truck. It's an electric digital gauge and has hi/lo pressure memory recall. Ordered mine in green display and used an Autometer mount.

I was getting nervous about all the posts about lift pump problems and could not get Westach or Stewart Warner without waiting as each were backordered.

My truck has 33,500 miles with original lift pump. Readings are; Idle:13psi, cruising around easy shifting: 12 psi, and getting on it up a hill @ 2800 rpm: 9 psi.

If anyone wants part numbers I'll post them. Limited lifetime warranty on gauge. Ordered through Summit Racing, total cost with 2nd day air was $107. 48 for everything. Just another option for those who are gauge shopping.

Lordsman,

I'd be interested in the part #'s, I looked at the internet site for Summit, but didn't find a green LED, only listed a red. If you have pics of the gauge installed, would like to see that also. Thanks in advance

Joe

Thanks for the info on the gauges it is a match to my transmission gauge.

Geno's just informed me after 10days that the one I ordered is on back order. I don't call that service. If it wasn't in stock at time of order I should have been told.

I will be ordering one of these and the Geno's will be cancelled.

Thank you

Go to the MFG website that Briar posted, get the part #, and then go to Summits site and search by MFG and part number and it will bring up the gauge you are looking for. Sometimes Summit has the item, but it is nowhere to be found in their catalog of website. Summit will most likely be less expensive than the MFG. At least it was every time I checked.

Cool gauges... . I have been looking for some digital gauges to install. I have been getting worried about my fuel pressure with all these post of the pumps going out. I have a 2001 HO with 11,000 mi. and I am still using the stock pump. Did you have any troulbe mounting the sender for the fuel pressure? Also... I have heard that with the 5. 9L that I will need the 100psi gauge, is that right? And I was looking at the Gauge works triple console pod by D. I. S. will the Nordskog gauges fit? Thanks for any advice.

Illflem has Intellitronix gauges, which is the brand that was bought out by Nordskog. Nordskog already had analog gauges, it was convenient for them to buy out Intellitronix. But that information is secondhand, I could be wrong.

Bob Nordskog was a pioneer in offshore powerboat racing (the ones referred to as thunder boats, or Cigarette boats) and this was merely one of many fine products his company developed for the marine racing industry.

could you list the parts numbers? Please let me know if you needed anything more than the listed parts for installation? Did it come with good installation instructions?

Thanks

Who ever makes them now they are excellent gauges, I have some that have been in service for 8 years. Great prices also. Green wasn't available when I bought mine, but the red looks better than it sounds.

Nordskog Part Numbers

Sorry guy's, can only get on-line after the work gets done!

Here are the part numbers. Gauge is 2 1/16".

Nordskog Fuel Pressure Gauge(0-16 psi) # M8024G

Nordskog Sender(for 0-16 psi gauge) # S8424

Autometer Gauge Mounting Panel # ATM-2236

Installation note's: Since I have an A-Pillar dual pod w/ pyro & boost already installed I bought the single gauge mounting panel made by Autometer. This is a simple black colored mount to hold the gauge. I installed mine down low on the dash to the right of the computer diagnostic plug and in front of the 4WD shifter. It is very easy to see there as the dash is beveled back and allows the gauge to angle up toward you. Put a G on the end of the model# as shown to specify green LED if thats what you want. No G will get you a red LED.

Gauge comes with 4 wires: one for 12v(cigar/ignition), one for ground, one for dimmer lighting and one for the sender. You can run the dimmer wire to ground for full-time maximum brightness, which is what I did. The sender is 1/8" threaded and must be grounded. You'll need to buy the fitting/hose to go from filter canister to the sender. I temporarily screwed my sender directly on top of the canister, and will order another sender so I can check pre/post filter pressures with a switch as others have done. :)

Lordsman,

How well built is the sender? If it is mounted direct to the engine will it be able to handel the vibration from the power of the cummins. :D I have heard great things about the gauges but that the sending units have a hard time holding up. Thanks for posting the part# and all.

Well, I just got an order in at Summit for the Nordskog Digital Fuel Pressure Gauge, sending unit and a triple pod a-pillar. I placed the order for a pod and Westach gauge from Geno's but they have been backordered for about 3-weeks now..... I guess the waiting got the best of me.....

The prices I paid at Summit and the Summit P/N's are:

Gauge NRD-M8024 $39. 95

Sender NRD-S8424 $39. 95

3-Gauge A-Pillar replacement (with speaker hole) ATM-17205 $52. 95

All of the pieces were in stock and will be on the way today. Should have them by Saturday!

Summit has the gauges in three diffenent LED colors: RED, GREEN, and Amber. Take your pick.....

Anyone have the phone # for summit racing ,I too dont want to wait for my back order from Geno,s ,need to monitor my fuel pressure before I hookup my comp, the waiting is killing me.

Thanks Ian

I didn't know they came in amber also, must be a new addition as I ordered out of the 2002 Summit catalog. As for the durability of the sender, I would'nt know as I just bought their product for the first time. Sounds like Briar Hopper and Illflem would be the one's to ask.

Gotta love 24hr shopping ,my gauge & senders will be on their way tomorrow, sorry Geno,s you lost out on that one. I ordered the pro series analogue gauge with 2 senders,so hopefully will have those baby,s in early next week. Thanks for all the imfo guys, man I love this site . Ian
