Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) NV4500 2nd Gear Growly starts

NV 4500 When starting in 2nd gear (usually skipping Granny gear when not loaded) I am starting to get some growling when starting to move or at very low RPM's... I have heard other trucks with this noise. . just curious if it is fixable. . or just some normal wear and tear. . (but I would like to get rid of it. ) Pilot bearing??? Input bearing??? Just gears???

Need some input from U transmission guru's. .

I won't be much help, but I get that too but not every time. I just thought it was when I lugged the engine down too far?
