Crack in injector line #5

Intermittent starting issue

Well, the kit is no longer available on eBay, don't want to deal with a Chinese company, couldn't find it elsewhere at a reasonable price, so I called my local dealer, and lo and behold he has access to several kits at a Dodge/Ram facility somewhere in Wisconsin, though at double the price previously mentioned herein. Before ordering it though, I have a question. It is not clear to me if the warning light that is mentioned is the WIF light, or another light that must be added somewhere. Info, please... No guessing.

Correct, if the WIF comes on by water, it stays on solid once it's lit up.
If the WIF lights up because of a restricted filter it will come on while you step on the throttle an goes out while cruising.

So, one light, two functions.

I apologize for sticking my nose into this conversation, but isn't this kit just about the same thing as the BD Low Fuel Pressure Indicator Kit? I know BD's kit requires the addition of the LED light but it provides the same information.

Yep, it is, aside from the "Ding" that the WIF Light has.
And way easier install.

I wonder if this kit can be used with the Glacier Diesel Big Line Fuel Filter Kit for the 6.7L Cummins. I have installed the Big Line Kit on my truck and this required a new 3/8" ID fuel hose with fittings into the pump. It does not look like it will work to me but I could be wrong.
Mine came yesterday; I have the GDP MK-2 + BLK APPS Mount on my 5.9L which replaced the banjo bolt with an adapter to MJIC, coupled to a 90° FJIC to 3/8 PushLoc. I'm going to need a 12mm banjo to PushLoc adapter like the Parker 34982-12-6. GDP sells them. Should have it in a week or so. I'll post before and after photos if I remember.

I would be careful doing that. What if the resistance is different and that's why the plugs are different.
You should be able to solder it on and test it, and if it does not work, find a different solution. Since there is no added resistance to the WIF sensor, I would expect it to work just fine. As the Russians say: trust, but verify.

I ordered the kit (...64AA) from my local dealer, received it today, and it looks exactly like the photos found herein. This was their source: Vintage Parts, Inc., 120 Corporate Dr, Beaver Dam, WI, 53916-9923, 877-846-8243. From their web site: "Vintage Parts is the global partner of choice for obtaining Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) obsolete and slow-moving service parts. Our international locations and relationships with over 80 OEMs allow us to provide a high quality solution to extending the life of hard to find service parts." Obviously not a Dodge/Ram facility as I had earlier and mistakenly posted.

Vintage will only sell to dealers. I buy from them but can only purchase DTNA items.

They buy from the OEM’s when there is a slow moving inventory purge at a PDC.

So tell your local dealer that Vintage has these kits in stock...if the Dodge Parts system doesn’t automatically direct them there...

As promised, I have some pics of an install with the GDP Big Line kit, albeit on a 5.9L.

The piece you need is a Parker 34982-12-6. I got mine from GDP.

The original Big Line Kit uses a JIC type fitting with a 90° fitting:

In my case, this is the only orientation that worked, and even then the yellow thingy (technical term) was touching parts of the CP3 pump, further, my truck has both a GDP filter installed and an engine mounted APPS, there is plenty of clearance between the sensor and the APPS:

And as a bonus, the GDP filter bracket gives you a convenient, conspicuous place to stick the new label on:

While I was in there I also replaced my fuel filters. I removed my GDP bracket and the APPS to do the install. Putting it back the first time I got a P2122 code. I fixed this by unplugging the APPS connector and plugging it back in harder. That took care of it. As you can see there is some serious cracking on the rubber fuel lines. I ordered new line to replace it all, but I got the wrong size, ½ instead of ⅜, so I'll have to swap the line out later when I get the right stuff.
