Your saying your 2015 truck has never given you a change oil message? Even past 15k without service?

I know I’m comparing a kiwi to a grapefruit, but did you guys ever catch in the owners manual, to never let the oil go past 10,000 miles regardless of what the oil life is? That nugget is in the hemi book.

Is this the HD trucks?
If it's regarding the half tons I'd probably not push 5w20 any further than that either. Not much wiggle room when your already starting out that thin.

Yes I’m talking to you! We were discussing the oil message algorithm and you replied your truck message center told you to keep on driving at 15k and never came up again. You also said your 15 had zero messages through 60k. Both these statements came after you declared “ common sense” tells you the truck judges oil change intervals by trip length. Please tell us of all the folks with 13 and up trucks who get oil change warnings at a mileage noticeably earlier than 15k. I’ve never seen reference to a single one other than post dealer computer flash.

My oil filter is pretty close to a 15k reminder.

However, the fuel filter only allows me 12,100 miles before a message comes to change it. And a MIL at 100 miles after that. My 2013 has a messed up fuel filter mileage counter. Fuel filter counter is consistently wrong flash or no flash.

On the occasion that I change oil and fuel filter on the same weelend.....I see the fuel counter count faster than the oil life minder

No not the HD trucks. I don’t think it’s so much the oil, but all the MDS, VVT and other things the Cummins (thank God) still don’t have.
