Here is the scenerio. Started the truck this AM without the aid of the block heater (forgot to plug it in). Outside temp was just above zero degrees.
Dealer put in 15-40 synthetic last oil change in October. While "on the road" I've had to start the truck in below zero temps without any "issues" or problems.
The Oil Pressure Guage has always started to immediately rise, abeit slowly, under these cold conditions. Today however it appeared to "just sit there" and then Suddenly it rose to it's normal position... Very Quickly!
No strange sounds from the engine during this starting procedure.
Enerything appears normal from this point on.
Just curious as to WHY the oil pressure guage would act this way when it's operation has been so consistent in the past... even under colder conditions...
