Just curious to if anyone knows where the Oil Temperature sensor is..
I notice a few times now, more so in the colder weather that if I'm cruising down a county road for somewhere around 10 minutes or so, my oil temp will be about 195-201 on average and given this a fully warmed up truck.
Now if I slow down to about 10 mph and make a turn and get back up to speed again, the oil temperature instantly to about 160.
This doesn't make sense to me for a few reason because isn't the oil "cooler" a coolant-to-oil heat exchanger, and at this point the coolant is a steady 190-195 so the oil really shouldn't get any colder than the coolant. Endless there's an air-to-oil heat exchanger on the front of the truck I don't know about.
