Help deciphering turbo model #'s?

Turbo size question

Auto Zone refused to replace bad Optima red top that I had purchased from them. (battery 24 months old)

Optima customer service called the store and asked them to replace it. They still refused.

Optima is replacing the battery.

Auto Zone had replaced the battery once before and said they went from the date of the original purchase instead of the date of mfg. or replacement. Optima warranties the battery for 36 months full replacement from date of purchase and or replacement. You may have to return Optima batteries to the dealer where purchased for warranties. Advanced is an Optima dealer & wouldn't help me because battery was not purchased from them.

If you are traveling and need Optima's warranty hope you can find a store where you bought the battery and have the receipt in case they don't have you in their data base.

Another Autozone Heads-Up

I bought a set of Performance Friction brake pads from Autozone about 4 years ago. They came with the lifetime warranty. About a year ago I did a brake job on my truck and the Performance Friction pads were worn out. I removed them but could not find my receipt. Then I remembered that Autozone keeps the information in their computer system and will warranty the parts without a receipt.

I took the pads to the nearby Autozone and the "counterman" looked up the sale on the computer and then proceeded to try to replace the Performance Friction pads, which sold for about $35. 00, with their cheapest pads, about $15. 00. I of course told him that I had purchased the Performance Friction pads with the corresponding warranty. He then told me no, that the records showed that I had bought the cheap pads.

I refused the cheap pads and went home and looked some more for the receipt. I found it and returned to the store and presented the receipt. The "counterman" again checked the computer and proclaimed that yes I had bought the better pads. No explanation was given for his prior "mistake".

Ever since then I have wondered if substituting the cheaper parts for the more expensive parts is a matter of policy for them if the customer does not have their receipt. If so then it is a very sorry way to treat customers.

Since that experience I will only shop in an Autozone store as a last resort.

I went through the same BS at pep boys with the Optima. I didn't want to waste the time looking for the recipt when they had all the info in their data base, they looked and said I never bought anything at any of their stores. I went home and picked up the receipt my wife had found and of course they had no explanation why It didn't show after telling me upon the first visit that the system was perfect

The ones here aren't any better. The nimrods behind the counter aren't worth a crap. Might find one good parts guy in the store, but they are hard to come by in a AZ. They don't have much for a diesel.

I just go to NAPA or Carquest. They are pretty good there. The can get ordered stuff faster as well.
