I recently installed a set of Pacbrake airbags and figured I would share it with you. I battled back and forth between Air Lift, Firestone and Pacbrake. They all get excellent review. I selected Pacbrake due to the reviews indicating how heavy duty they are. The plates and bracket are extremely well build with a quality coating. I do have a few complaints. The directions were not the best, especially when telling the difference between the supplied spacers and washers and were they should be used. The same with the lock washers. There were not enough lock washers for everything, but too many for where they recommended using them. I used Loctite on everything except the bolt that went into the airbags themselves. I used anti-seize the them.

Another issue I had was that the directions said to torque the 3/8 bolts in the frame to 40 ft lbs. While doing so, the last "grade 5" bolt broke (1st picture). The others felt like the threads were stretching. I could not live with that, so I went to the hardware store and replaced them all with grade 8 bolts, nuts, and washers. Cost me 5 bucks. Probably would have cost Pacbrake and additional dollar to have sent grade 8 bolts to begin with. This was not to bash Pacbrake. Beside the nuts and bolts, the kit is high quality and extremely heavy duty. If I were to do it over again, I would still purchase the same airbags. I would have installed the grade 8 bolts to begin with though.

I have a complete air bag/in cab bag adjustment/air horn/ air chuck PacBrake system on my Dually. I installed the air chuck under the hood and keep a push in pressure gauge in the chuck all the time to keep dirt out.

I would suggest you find some sort of rubber cover for your chuck or relocate.

I realize that your fender liners are out for the install but agree with the above post. You really should relocate the chuck or it is not going to work when you really need it. Underhood or in the body somewhere.

JMHO.

Nice install by the way.

Excellent suggestions. I will find something to cover the chuck. I also plan to find a better suited location for it. Thank you
