When I bought my truck, the color I disliked most was green! So I bought a green truck anyway. It is time to repaint, and changing color seems to be the right thing to do. I like the Dodge turquoise color a lot, does anyone have ideas or photos of trucks that are that color? Any help would be appreciated, you can see my truck in the readers rigs gallery.

Thanks, but probably not a good choice for me, down in the South where the sun shines hot all year long, thinking of white on top maybe turquoise in the middle.

I saw a local truck that was green from bottom of windows down & black up top. That truck looked good.

Heh. . . I'm not wild about green either and here the '98 I bought was green. But I dislike the turquoise even more, LOL

I think the paint code is DT7988, Aqua Pearl

There is a local truck here that is white over turquoise over white. I see it at the farm store every once in a while. I'll snap a picture of it for you next time I see it.

Yep, THAT is the one I have seen as well I thought. Always seemed to be just a bit more pretty than the rest. I would appreciate a photo of it. Surely someone on this board has one that color?

It is a nice combo, at least in my opinion. I'll do my best to get a picture of it. Hopefully, I'll run across it soon.

Is it the one with fender skirts? :-laf There is a old dude driving around in uniontown with a truck that matches that description.

Not trying to change your mind or turn you away from painting but, just remember that changing colors is not a small thing to do. Cummins724 can tell you that. Also any painter worth a darn will cost you, my truck was a friend of a friend deal and for the same color it cost me 4k. My painter has been in the business for at least 15 years and about the same time for each of his crew. They have done numerous show cars as well and won several awards. He told me that normaly a truck my size he would charge around 6k and that if I were to have changed colors it would have been at least 2k more. Now there may be painters out there that do the same quality cheaper you just have to look for them. I will tell you it was worth every penny along with the body modifications I had him do.

I had the same problem every dealer I went to they kept on showing me white trucks. I told them I didn't want a truck that looked like a compamy vehilcle but then I ran across the Mule it had every thing I was looking for (which wasn't much). I have grown to like white.

If you really don't lkie the green change it, I can recommend White.

It is really funny how people like and dislike various colors. Obviously lots of people liked green, there are so many of them, same with white. I would never get along with a white truck, and have only slightly learned to even accept green. In 97 you could not get a two or three tone truck in the 3500 series, I had to change mine and put it two tone, probably just partly to be different.

Sure can. It's a @##$%^^&. :-laf

I know what you mean, I used to own a body shop in my younger years. The only way I can make it happen, is that I am down on the Mexican border where painting comes off a bit cheaper.

Not quite sure that is the color, the ones I have seen were all two toned with white, maybe it makes them look different when combined. I have not been able to find one on the internet either, but I know they are out there.

Maybe a 2 tone with the original green and a contrasting color. A neighbor down the street has a newish Ford that is green and khaki and it looks pretty sharp.

Its a shame Dodge did away with some of the nicer 2 tone schemes. I have always loved the 2 tone white and red - I think they called it the waterfall scheme. I have threatened to do that to mine if I ever won the lotto.

The third picture looks like a (I think) a 1996 Indy Ram, which commerated the Ram pacing the Indianapolis 500. If I recall it was a regular cab/ short bed 2wd and only in that color. In 1997 I think they had an SS/T ram with the same graphics but in more colors. I might be off a year or two.

Thanks guys, keep em coming!! Still not the one I am searching for, kinda like the top photo but the color was not blue, but more of a turquoise color. I find Aqua is a used color, might be that. I have misplaced my 1997 dealer brochure, but not really sure what year they used that color scheme.

If you click on the "photo gallery" under my name, you can see that I have recently painted the lower portion with the running boards already, would like to keep that the color that it is, that was a Dodge truck color used on the 2500 two tones with my green.

I am considering just painting the top that same color (along with the fiberglass topper) and leaving the green inbetween the current color, kinda like the top photo.

I gotta do this in the next few days, so I sure appreciate ANY paint job photos you can furnish photos of.

I agree, I had an earlier model Dakota with 8 foot bed, with their white and red that really looked sharp, always loved the looks of it. After 20 years in the Army, green and khaki don't excite me any more.
