I'm already getting a Bully Dog system... . (getting a heckuva deal on it). I already have a JRE 4" system, but wanna try a different one for sound reasons, looking for louder then my current level. Plus the muffler still has oil in it... as the people at KC dyno day found out :D

Mark- Any idea why the temps are higher on the freeway? I thought that higher temps indicated a richer mixture, and a richer mixture would make for worse mileage. What's the deal?

thanks for the reference

Mark, thanks for ther referral to Kurt, but PLEASE don't mention my name to him. I followed the B-1 thread and it sounds like I may get "special attention" if I bring up certain members!!!:D :D

I am waiting for tax season, hoping for a real early (or late) Santa visit, or maybe I'll even bushwack the Easter bunny for his tips to get my BOMBing future sped up!:{

I can't explain it. . but it is definitely more efficient. Really the thing to look for is boost. Boost is lower at cruise but power is definitely up compared to the HX35. There is a lot more air moving through the engine so there are some factors that we are not fully aware of.

Power is definitely up. Using the g-tech pro, i could consistantly make mid 390 horsepower. Last night i did some 0-100 mph runs with the B1 on, pm3 comp on same level as before, no other changes besides B1, and i made 1 run of 433 hp and one run 430. This thing definitely helps the motor breath

Anybody else's yard deteriorating, or the other vehicles not getting washed, or honey-do list growing longer whilst we make more power? I may have to sell my house, rent a studio garage, I mean apartment, and invest in some more tools (and tires, and clutches, and turbos, and... );)

My better half put pen to paper and got a little hot this weekend. . luckily I had sold my bumper and Clarion Auto PC to cover a portion. . appeased the she-ruler:( ;) :p :D

(edited to shorten post)

Mark these results are much the same that I found. The much cooler air charge from the b-1 is why we get more power at lower boost levels. What's great is having room to crank in the fuel while towing and not having to keep one eye glued to the EGT gauge.

Several of us have noticed improved fuel mileage. Some where I had read that the best egt temp for mileage/efficency is 800-850. Not sure where I read it so it may not be accurate. #ad
Anyone have that info???

:confused:

Mark has she "Discovered" the other cc yet?:D ;)

Guys, just got back from delivering a 40' to Conyers, Ga. Had a little tail wind going down, 12-15mph, averaged 11. 4mpg loaded. I told Kwurt 12. 4, but rechecked my data sheet. I topped Eagle Mount. at 65mph, and 1100*. Cruising at 70, empty on way back, was running 600-650* and 6-7# boost. One trucker I passed going up Eagle Mount. asked me if I had an N-14 in my Dodge. :D Man, its fun!!

Thats funny yogi, cause i was just talking about getting some N14 badges and putting them on the side of the truck. I tell you what not only does this turbo run great they sound great. I can only describe it as sounding really big. It has a great whistle to it.

yep that compressor wheel in the little 35 just aint quite right for high boost numbers. Compressor wheel efficiency is better in the B-1 than the 35.

You guys need to shut up about these B-1's.

After talking to HVAC on the phone the other day. I almost ordered one.

Actually I decided to go to the (?) it rymes with bins. hehe!

Don~

Rubberneck, how about when ya shut the eng. down. The B 1 even sounds b a d when its spinning down, a deep rumble, or big whistle, instead of the whispy whine. You guys and gals don't know what your missing.

Larry

Reading this post is making me drool. I have ordered the B-1, almost cancelled it, now I want it real bad, so I can continue with my BOMBING plans.

Ken, If you only knew..... :D :p ;) :)

Got the new hood and clutch in. The clutch needs some breakin time it slips alittle bit in sixth, less than 100rpm. The hood looks real cool but isn't functional, YET.

EGTs at cruise have been hovering in 650 to 750 range. I must have had a head wind the other day when they were higher. My power runs get to 1250 but NEVER higher.

The big rig whistle is SWEET!! and like Yogi said the turbo sound after shutdown is really cool.

Later,

Mark

I was fine until all this talk about the sound. :{

Was recovering ... then yogibear started in about decel & shutdown.
