Paul,

thats one funny sight. Here's a coincidence i saw the same thing myself!!! How ya liking it? Getting tired of driving around with the windows down yet? I loved them on my truck just didn't think it all the way through at the time and sacrificed most of my bed space. Hope you and the wife for that matter enjoy them.

As for a meeting in the west chester area count me in. I have been wanting to check out a new "600" myself and i am just a stone throws away from West chester. Keep us posted.

As you can see by the responses you are not alone in the area in your new addiction. I'm relatively new to this my self and have sought the advice of LLawrence, MD500E, Proram,TowProw, and many others. I'm still learning myself. Although, I do have a good source for step bars, mud flaps, bed-liners, Tool boxes, 5th wheel hitches, and all sorts of chrome goody's. One of my best friends owns a Pick up truck accessory and cap dealership in Phoenixville. :D

I would love to see your new 600 and will travel for it (now that I have my LLawrence and MD500E built stacks on).

Congrats on the new pride and joy, and welcome aboard :)

Lets set a date and a place to meet that suits everyone. I think I'm off and available this whole weekend.

Will24: LOL So how do they look?

MD500E: Ill bet there was a black 3500 driving up and down rte 100 last night with all of the windows down!!

LLawrence: thats one funny sight. Here's a coincidence i saw the same thing myself!!! How ya liking it? Getting tired of driving around with the windows down yet?

They Look Great! They Sound Great! Deb doesn't mind them and I got wet and cold on the way to and from work today:D

I keep looking for reasons to go somewhere.

Be a whole lot better with smoke

I can't thank you guy's ( Kevin and Larry) enough for the help

Where to get "STUFF".

PaulCreamer,

I need all that stuff you mentioned. Where is your buddy in Phoenixville? And how are his prices?

I want a standard under-the-rail bed liner, rail caps, nerf bars, that kind of stuff.

Anyone know of any REALLY strong stepbars/nerf bars? I shop in the BIG boys section... :D :D :D , and the only bars I was ever happy with, (the whole truck moved when I was on them, not just the bars), were the aftermarket factory Ford bars on my old F250. They had 4 supports on each side.

Thanks for any input,

Fred Parlee

I have black Westin bars on mine and they went on in about a half hour and are rigid as he!!. They sell them at Phoenix Truck Caps on rt 724 (1/2 mile west of rt 23) in Phoenixville. He may or may not have a set for your truck in stock, but he can usually have them in a day or two. If'n ya want I'll shoot you a pm with my cell phone # and we can meet over there. It would prolly be best to get over there soon so he gets them by Saturday. It's up to you. You won't beat the price he gives you. He has a pretty good supply of bed liners. I'm sure he'll have that on hand.

Paul

P. S. Hey, does your truck have dual wheels?

Paul,

you are very welcome for the help. Anytime you need it just say the word and if its in my power i'll be there. Always like helping with BOMBS!!! Its fun!! Until next time... ... . Keep on diesel truckin!!!

Larry

PaulCreamer,

Every morning and every night I cross Rt 100 on Rt 422. It would be easy to shoot down 100 to 23 east to get to Phoenixville. Just say the word! I need all this stuff, and I'd rather buy it local rather than mail order.

Lets go!Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo.

Actually, I'm getting tired of doing chin-ups to get in to the rig... .

My kingdom for some tube steps.

What time does he close at night?

Thanks Paul, and yes, its a dually.   :D :D :D

Fred

I would love to get together and check out the new 600 trucks. I live right in Paoli so meeting in westchester is great. keep us posted. Thanks,

Kevin -

You already know me - the guy with the F350 who drives by your house every day (or at least, I used to - I'm using Devon Road now).

As you can see by my sig, the Ford is going bye bye, and in a couple weeks, will have the NEW toy!:D

To Fred (FParlee), LLawrence, and everyone else: here in West Chester, the best "coffee shops" are either DK Diner (small, but great pancakes, parking is TIGHT, though), or my favorite, The Chester County Book Company's "Magnolia Cafe" - eggs, biscuit, fries, and unlimited coffee UNDER $5. 00. I eat breakfast there alot.

So, let's set a date. My truck ain't in yet (hopefully, sometime between the 6th and 15th), but that's OK.

O yeah - I'll buy a case of beer for anyone wants to help me install my gauges!

I saw a red 2nd generation quad cab with stacks fueling up today at Speedy Meedy's near Mt. Pleasant. Anyone from here?

Guages

Scott,

I'm about to order my guages, you help me, I'll help you..... ;)

Have you seen this link?

http://www.tdr1.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=94381

I was wondering where to put all the guages and I came across this. Awesome idea. I'll have the boost,EGT, and Trans temp in the pillar, but I didn't know what to do with the fuel presure and air suspension guages. Now I do!:D :D

Magnolia Cafe it is. What is a good date/time for everyone? I'm free nights and weekends for a mini CTD jam!Oo. Oo. Oo.

Speak up gents... .....

Scott, where is this place?

Fred

Fred, link didn't work.

I'm going with the standard 3 mount on the A pillar. I ordered from Genos - they were priced much less there.

Chester Co. Book Co. is right on Paoli Pike exit of 202. West Goshen Center - Acme, Kmart - can't miss it. You would probably shoot down 100 to 202 South, stay in the right lane, and get right off at Paoli Pike - turn right, and you'll see it.

As I said, I recommend a Saturday breakfast date (can't this Saturday, though). Don't open until 9:30 am though. HUGE parking lot. Could fit many duallies in there. If we would like to meet earlier, than DK Diner. DK is less than a mile further down Paoli Pike from there, just before you get into "downtown" West Chester Borough.

Monday, Wednesday, or Friday evenings, or Saturday mornings work best for me.

Scott,

Sorry the link didn't work, I just cut and pasted.

Its a thread under TDR round table: 3rd Gen, no engine/transmission, labeled "Alternative guage install location. "

Both guys did a great job!

Many of the sites selling guages and acc. have how-to sections. I have been down loading all the guage install PDF's I can find. I'll send em' to ya if like. They even got pictures for illiterates like me.

All those meeting time work for me, how about everyone else?

Hey Will,

That is Matt Zelenak from Mount Pleasant. He used to have that white/gray 95 regular cab lifted with stacks. He just picked up the red one about a month ago...

Hey guys,

weekends would be best for me. Saturday mornings would be fine with me. I live in coatesville so west chester is in my back yard so to speak. Anytime is good for me. Say the word and i'll do my best to be there. swexlin i did a gauge install on my rig so i have a little bit of know-how(keyword little LOL) so i would be willing to lend a hand if ya need it. Keep us all posted on the "new" arrival.

Larry

I vote for Saturday, March 20. My rig should be in by then (I hope, just dropped the POS Ford back at the dealer tonight - my HPOP oil gusher is back). This new rig can't come in fast enough.

But, if enough guys want to do it earlier, I'm in.

LLawrence - what kind of beer and pizza do you like? :D

From everyone's replies, it looks like a Saturday morning meet. MD500E is out for 3/6, so it looks like 3/13 or 3/20.

Scott wants 3/20 to be sure his new truck is here.

I'm OK with either. What do ya'll think? The longer we wait the more goodies my truck is going to have. The fedex and UPS boxes are starting to pile up in the garage as it is... .

Scott, let me know when you want to have a guage party. I just ordered mine last night from Geno's Garage. I think they call it "economy of scale". (Quicker to do 2 set at once) Maybe we can talk some of these experienced guys into showing us how its done. :D :D :D
