Scott, let me know when you want to have a guage party. I just ordered mine last night from Geno's Garage. I think they call it "economy of scale". (Quicker to do 2 set at once) Maybe we can talk some of these experienced guys into showing us how its done.

My gauges are here and waiting. I'm sure LLawrence or Kevin (MD500E) will be more than willing to help out.

cuttin' and drillin' on my new baby.

I'm a little scared to put the tools to the new truck. First, it will mean it's not NEW anymore, and second, what if I screw something up. There is a lot of manifold drilling on that gauge install..... :( :( :(

And I now have to cut the rear spring hangers off for the Kelderman air suspension. (What possessed me to buy something that forces me to cut large chunks of metal off of my 3 week old truck?)

Oh well, all in the name of fun... ..... Oo. Oo.

Any update on when your truck will hit Downingtown?

Any update on when your truck will hit Downingtown?

Not soon enough! As I said, got home tonight, and my truck is spewing oil again all over the pavement (HPOP). THey just "fixed" this less than 6 weeks ago, after I got towed home from Shady Maple. We're going again on Saturday - imagine if it had happened AGAIN up there. Drove it up to Beans, and there it sits, probably until Monday or Tuesday. I'm really glad I'm getting the new vehicle now, because I certainly wouldn't trust this thing to get me home from the boonies.

O well, off track. My truck is due into Baltimore by 3/3. Fred - how soon did D'Ambrosio's get your truck after it made it into port?

To keep this on track - we are still looking at Sat 3/20, about 10 am, at Chester CO Book Company in West Chester?

Scott,

I know exactly how you feel about the oil leaks.

I did the same thing your doing. Traded the 99' PS for a CTD due to injector problems and oil leaks.

One memorable occasion was the dealers fault. Had the oil changed at the selling dealer, (Norristown Ford), a week before one of my grandmothers died. Didn't drive the truck until the day of the funeral, but needed it as there was 6 inches of snow on the ground. As I was waiting for traffic to make the left in to the cemetery, someone points at my truck. I rolled down the window, and they tell me oil is pouring out of the engine. You guessed it, the oil drain plug fell out. I pulled in to the cemetery to much horn blowing, and drove towards the chapel until the oil pressure gauge dropped. Shut it down and coasted into a snow bank. I was not happy with the dealer. They also crimped my tube steps with the lift when they fixed the drain plug.

But I digress... ... ...

D'ambrosio knew I was desparate for the truck. You guys tipped me off to the boat getting to Baltimore on the weekend of 1/30, and they called me to come get the truck on 2/2. I don't know how they did it! And they wouldn't tell me how it got from Baltimore to Downingtown. It only had 4 miles on it when I picked it up.

And yes, 3/20 sounds good to me.

Hey guys,

as far as pizza and beer goes i don't drink beer due to diabetic medication and it messing with my sugar levels. As far as pizza goes peperoni is my favorite!! LOL. I am more than willing to help you guys out with the gauge install. I'll be honest the one thing i did not do myself was drill the manifold for the EGT sensor. I was nervous about this myself so i had help from mr Jetpilot. All the other ones were fairly simple to do. Just running wires and a couple other little hook ups. When you guys are ready say the word and i'll do what i can.

Sat 3/20 at 10am at the chester county book Co sounds good to me. Lets make this the first mini get together of spring as 3/20 is the first day of spring!!! Goodbye winter and goodbye road salt!!

3/20 sounds good to me! :) I can probably give you guys a hand with the gauge installs. I like drilling holes in new trucks, especially ones that aren't mine!:D I have drilled a few 4. 5 inch holes into perfectly good beds as well as drilled and taped several unsuspecting manifolds. Who knows, maybe we can turn a breakfast meeting into an afternoon bombing party!

alignment shop

This is a question for you guys in the Exton, Downingtown, Frazer area. I've been reading up on installing my new D25's, and one thing I've come across is that an alignment is recommended once the springs are in. Do you guys know of a GOOD place where I can get an alignment done?

Also, if it matters, I've got 33x12. 5x16. 5 tires. I don't know if a standard alignment machine can do tires that size or not...

Thanks for the input.

rkelso98, I believe there are quite a few members in your area. There is a event at Kauffman's motor sports in York springs every fall with 60-70 tdr members showing up.

RabidRam, sorry I cant recommend a good alignment shop. Its tough to find someone who really knows what they are doing. Maybe someone else will chime in.

I am buying from tomeygun, Fitzgerald is working hard to sway me but I don't think they can match it. Bummed I couldn't get the Farm Bureau discount AND the 3% from Tom. That would help with gas and flight cost.

Since this is getting a bit off topic here, I posted this event in the Events Forum, Northeast section.

Mmmmm... . Someone said Shady Maple!

If you are willing to drive for an alignment, I can HIGHLY recommend Martins Tire and Alignment in Churchtown (About 5 miles east of Shady maple and 4 miles west of morgantown right off rt. 23) The shop is owned and run by a mennonite family and they do EXCELLENT work.

Anyway, time to get scared... there is another CTD coming to the area... My dad ordered an Atlantic Blue long bed Qcab 4x4 auto today from Bergeys in Colmar (he works a couple minutes from there even though we live in EXTREME southern Berks/EXTREME northern Chester county) The truck is pretty well loaded with the exception of leather, with the farm bureau discount plus all the fact. rebates etc total price with no trade came out to right around $35k, sounds pretty darn good to me! I am anxiously awaiting the early May arrival of the new member of our family... finally I will have a truck to tinker with! :D

Will24, you're welcome to join us on March 20 in West Chester (see the events section. )

Shady Maple - the better half and I will be dining there at 8 am tomorrow morning. Look for her red '04 Intrepid SXT in the parking lot (hey, it's a Dodge! ). Actually, a very nice car - 250 hp, 250 lb-ft - it scoots pretty good.

I may consider coming home that weekend just for the meet. I have spring break from school the 7th - the 14th, I usually come home every two weeks. It will all come down to whether or not my beater cavalier gets a clutch over sprink break... driving a lifted truck 150 miles home every weekend gets expensive... That's the sad thing, my dad's new truck will get better mileage than my truck while making over twice the HP and over 3x the torque!

no sticker, but graphics on the side and tailgate. i will be at the dealer mon morning to get a new rv plug had a little mishap.

Not full time any more because of school... I worked there full time over xmas break and I will be there over spring break. I want to find a job in a truck shop for the summer, still working on that one, have a couple of leads though, hopefully it will work out. The tire shop is on Water Street in churchtown, a little Mennonite guy named Glenn Martin owns, hell of a guy. They aligned my pickup (IFS) after I lifted it. They spent nearly 3 hours on on it and still only charged me $42, the truck is straight as an arrow and the tires are all wearing evenly, so I can't complain.

Back in high school I parked next to a kid that had a "Free Mumia" sticker on his volkswagen, so I had a sticker made for the back of my truck that says "Fry Mumia!" I sincerely hate that waste of PA taxpayer dollars and for that matter, waste of human flesh... You kill a cop in cold blood you're done, I have no sympathy for that POS.
