Ron R... . As I understand it, the three different pin settings available in the EZ box allows you to adjust or shall I say change the fueling curve based upon at what time you want the fueling to begin. position #1 more fuel sooner #2 more fuel a little later #3 more fuel even later. Since I am not the inventor, I can only give you basically how it works. To this extent, if you are running larger injectors #1 position may be your best setting. . if you are stock, perhaps #2 or #3 position will work better. The higher the setting less initial fuel therefore, less smoke. In order to change the pin settings you simply unscrew one end of the box and set the pin in the desired location. I was told by Taylor, #1 setting would be best for my set-up. The pin settings as I understand it has nothing to do with the amount of HP.


P. S. Guys, I can only atest to what the Edge EZ box is like, to me. I'm in no way affiliated with Edge products. Technology, in this area is happening so fast, more boxes are comming out all the time, only you can decide what's best for you and meets your performance expectations!!! #ad

I picked my EZ up yesterday at the Tulare event. There is a definant seat of the pants improvement acceleration, either off the line or roll on. I'll keep you posted on milage changes and what not. Haven't notoced any smoke. Um, where were we on the topic of stronger clutches?

Heber Ram, in your last post, you indicated that the fueling "aspect" of the module could be changed (as regards to what RPM it starts at) by moving the pin. Does the timing "aspect" stay the same in all three positions?

BZIN/UL... I can't answer that question for sure. I would assume so. I'll try to contact Brett or Taylor at Edge tommorrow and see if I can get that answer.

Just got back to "Camp Cummins" from the Tulare event. The tiger is out of the bag and the EZ is a smashing success!!! #ad
We had fun this weekend and I sure enjoy hanging out with quality people like Brett and Taylor, wish they coulda been there today too. A bunch of EZ's were installed this weekend and the result was lotsa teeth #ad

I installed HVAC's 275's and PE EZ box combo at TULARE and LOVE IT!... . Great Torque. . Starts Early and ZIPPS Right past 3000. .

Perfect Setup for the ETH/DEE

BZIN/UL... Talked to Taylor at Edge today in regards to your question... Does the timming curve change with the different pin settings? His answer was, no, It only affects the fueling. It delays the fueling by the amount of boost. Its strickly a smoke thing! After about 10lbs. of boost all the settings fall into the same catagory. Basically, 90% of the people using the EZ will be happy with the #1 setting. Those that don"t like smoke can set to #2 or #3 setting to reduce initial fueling until boost kicks in.

Other inquisitive lads. Yes, I am noticing some smoke on start off. This unit can be very hard on clutches. It will be tough to discipline myself. Yet to check the mileage. We need TDR T shirts so we can spot each other at these events.

Have "tested" it a few (100+) #ad
times on the way home. so far the tires just spin! and the truck doesn't smell so bad any more... .

When and where is Dieselfest?
Also when I orderd my Monster tip from Genos I got a free TDR shirt, its a nice t-shirt. Thought thats was nice of them to toss that in with the ford stickers with a tire track running through the middle of it. I slapped that baby on my hitch receiver. #ad

My spanky new three day old rig likes the EZ a lot !!. . pulls right off idle through 3000. . no sign of defuel... being easy on the new motor [ya sure]
Glad to meet a bunch of you guys. . looks like I missed a bunch... so little time so many toys hehe

You can change the setting on the PE EZ box and Cut Down the smoke alot. . with out effecting the timing of max power output. .

It delays how much boost you have before it starts the Xtra Fueling #ad

Installed my EZ yesterday afternoon. Still evaluating, but running with my PE turned off, The EZ w/275's were very strong. For those that are still undecided, HVAC's EZ & 275 Combo looks like a good way to go.
