2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Plastic Hood Clips

Ok so I'm under the hood the other day to do final fluid/s check for a upcoming trip. I noticed the insulated hood cover to be almost hanging free. Most all the plastic clips that hold it secure to the underside of the hood, are missing. Besides going to the dealer, is there anywhere I can get a New set of these? Or, if theres another way of securing the pad, I'm open for suggestions. Thank you all.

proskeeterman, I have used 3M spray adhesive with some success, altho many mfg's make the same type of product,theirs seems to work best, just follow inst. on can, and pull on it every once in a while to insuer its staying put. also its a lot cheaper than factory hood clips.

I've had an aftermarket Reflexxion hood on my truck for years. It has the exact same OEM bracing as original factory, but no insulation. I cannot detect ANY increased sound level in or out of the truck with the lack of insulation. Just a thought.....

There's a number of them available from Dorman. I get something like these from Orielly's. Dorman AutoGrade 963-006 - Trim Panel Retainer | O'Reilly Auto Parts They're Ford OEM, but they'll work. In fall and spring, when things like to sweat from sitting, I see a few problems from the sagging insulation. One of the most common is battery discharge from a wet liner grounding the terminals together..... wouldn't think it, but you can see where the battery cables are making contact and arcing to the black material.

I ripped mine off a few years ago because it was constantly getting the engine dirty. I like it better without it personally, looks cleaner.
