I've been running Smarty Touch on level 5 for about a month and have gradually lost power to the point it just feels like stock. I then put it on level 9 and it felt like it was back to level 5 power for about 2 days now it's losing power again.

Rail pressure is about 5000-6000 at idle. Spikes at 24000 wot. When I stab it it drops to about 13000 and takes about 3 seconds to start rising. It wasn't doing this before. It was usually pretty instant.

Egt's are normal and only spike to about 1200 on hard pulls. Boost spikes at about 37 psi.

I was told there was no way my stock clutch would hold level 9 but it's doing it no problem so something's not right. It's not making the power it should.

This truck is a 2005 2500 with nv5600 stock LUK clutch, stock injectors and turbo 300,000 miles.

Any help is appreciated.

Just from the details you shared, the rail pressure delay sounds suspiciously slow, if your truck is all stock; sensors included I would try a new FCA first.

Are you're injectors OEM from factory 300K? or are they stock injectors that have been replaced?

They are stock original injectors.

300K is well past due for injectors, congratz on getting the most out of them. You may want to look at the fuel system as a whole then if it all has 300K. New FCA, injectors, and or potentially a CP3(they are pretty robust and long lived) wouldn't hurt anything; you should only see improvements in the running condition.

Quite a few engine running conditions with these HPCR 5.9 ISBs stem from the fuel delivery/injection system.

I have been shopping for injectors. I kind of wanted to make sure this issue isn't something else before I lay out that much coin for them.

I don't have the budget to do the whole fuel system at once unfortunately. I'll replace the cheaper parts first I guess and see if there is any improvement.

It is getting worse. Today the rp is dropping down to 9000 when I roll on it and it seems to take a little longer to build back up.

Sooner than later, 300K on OEM injectors is borrowed time overdue.

If you want to start with the cheaper stuff an FCA and PRV are going to be your best bets. But like @BigPapa said arming your self with information and a diag. of your current condition will be the most valuable thing to spend money on before going forward.

I put a rail plug in and there was no difference other then it will spike at 26000 psi now. Performance wise it's still the same. I'll put pressure relief valve back in and I'll try FCA next. I'm kind of wondering if the Smarty took a crap.

You could have waste gate issue, you could have fuel return rate issues, fuel pump flow issues, filter issues, injector issues.
So as others have mentioned, get a manual, fallow the steps in the diag. Then through the correct parts at it.

Will do. I had a manual downloaded but it deleted itself or something. It's gone. I'll have to get another one. I don't think it could be the waste gate because I shut it off with the smarty. Thanks.

The smarty can’t really take a crap, as it programs the stock ECM. Once the ECM is programmed the smart can be disconnected.

Monitor rail pressure desired vs actual, it’s quite possible your CP3 or lift pump just can’t keep up with the fuel demand.

How old are your fuel filters?

Just because the wastegate is shut off doesn’t mean it couldn’t be failing. I don’t think that’s your issue thou.

Fuel filters are fairly new but I have some I can change just to make sure I didn't get some fuel with something in it.
