2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Power Steering Cooler - One or Both Return Lines?

I am putting in a new PS pump (higher output) and will be adding a cooler to the low pressure return side to keep it cooler. I see there are two return lines in the hydraulic system. One from the gear and one from the brake booster. Do I need to run both return lines through the cooler or just one of them? If I plumb both through the cooler would I need to worry about flow volumes and use larger fittings and a larger hose diameter between the cooler and pump reservoir return fitting? TIA.

Pick one, and use it... the oil gets pump through the entire unit.

I'd probably look at the steering gear, since its causing the most stress, and therefore heat, on the system.

Yep, that's what I ended up doing - plumbing just the steering gear return thru the cooler. Was far easier plumbing it that way. I have only driven it a few miles so far and everything looks good. When I got back I checked the PS fluid level - it was fine - but, I touched the main high pressure line from the pump to the brake booster and wow, it was really, really HOT! I think I see why they say a cooler is required with this high output pump. Thanks.

Don't forget the hydroboost brake booster... there's a couple more lines...

Both returns I think T together then the 3rd leg goes into the cooler and then goes back into the pump.
