Finally got mine installed and running last night. WOW!Oo. Oo. This box is fantastic! It doesn't have the super touchy throttle like the Smarty did which is nice, but it fuels like crazy and still is very smooth. I'll have to play with it more tonight, but I am liking this thing!:D

I think the posi-tap helped on mine and your right it does fuel smooth.

I currently do not have a boost fooler to get my boost from 20 up to what 28 or 30 psi. Will that improve things with my RV275's and Adrenaline? How best to do this so will get the boost but not set codes. Seems somewhere I read that on my truck HX-35 no code will be set for over boost at the 28 or 30 psi?

I noticed something interesting today. When pulling up a gradual grade empty and on level 3 none aggressive. It so gradual lite throttle needed but no boost pressure showing over 3 or 4 and a lot of times 0. The pulse would flash I swear but not sure level 2 but could have been 3 and defueling would flash as well like a second or less. To fast for me to tell if it was flashing level 2 or 3.

Is this normal I have it set to defuel at 1200 but EGT no where near that. I have a 5er towing 21,000#'s with some nice grades Wednesday will see how this tows going and coming back Sunday. I will probably tow with it in level 3 as well.

my boost show up different than my juice showed. I think the Quad sensor is more sensitive, as I now cruise near 0 instead of 3-4 and I max at over 46 instead of 41psi with the juice. I do not know which is off.

My boost is also showing a lot higher on the Pulse, and since I installed the Adrenaline, on my mechanical gauge as well. I don't know if it's the cooler weather getting me more boost? Guess I never paid attention to it this past winter. When I installed the boost elbow last summer it stopped at 34PSI but my gauge ran up to 39PSI and the Pulse said 41PSI. Wonder if I have to keep adjusting my boost elbow for hotter or colder weather? I know with the HX-35 you're not supposed to go over 34PSI boost. On the other hand, if the turbo blew, the wife would let me fix it with a better turbo. :-laf

Also wondering if there would ever be a need for updating the Pulse? I noticed there is a USB plug on it. It would be a pain to take it out and unhide my wiring to do so.

Noticed on PL10 if you run it up to higher RPMs and stay in that gear and let off the throttle almost all the way but not quite that it kind of pops and almost sounds like jakes. :-laf

Love the box, unfortunately, I need a bigger turbo. Plenty of fuel but not enough air. Good job though Quadzilla!Oo.

My Pulse is reading 3psi higher than my mechanical gauge also.

Do you suppose it is already corrected for temperature and barometric pressure?

I think it depends where you get the Boost for your Mechanical gauge, I get mine off the head. The Pulse reads it from the data plug, and or ECM
Rick

That's a very good question Bob, I wonder if the computer does all that for you. Although it does stand to reason that even if the wastegate setting doesn't change, with cooler ambient temps. you should get denser air, and thus more boost.

My mechanical gauge is reading through a tapped intake bolt at the front of the intake and the sensor the adrenaline plugs into is in the rear of the intake. I've heard more accurate readings and better power/mileage can be had if that sensor is replaced/cleaned, perhaps that would help get the two gauges reading closer together?

yes the computer read boost is differnt, i can't remember what it is but it takes in the effect of baro i think, I would have to look at a scan tool to remember what it was.

I have adreniline w/ pulse monitor just hooked up today and I too with bob's post towing at small grade on even none on level 2 or 3 with min accell will flash on screen defuelin level 2 or will say level 1 or even level 0 depending on what more I do? I have egt set at 1250 / boost at 35 / no others set. I don't have fuel pressure set cause no fuel sensor was sent with package wich is bs and have not figured how to hook up edge sensor to the single wire. Is defueling normal here??? and what is VP bypass solenoid?

this is happening at about 800 egt and as low as 10 boost. nothing to be alarmed about with these numbers I would not think?

and what is VP bypass solenoid?[/QUOTE]

I have no experience with the Adrenaline so I can't comment on that but the bypass solenoid runs a valve in the injection pump that determines the length of the injection event. It is what you manipulate when you "tap the wire".

you mean the "wire tap" to the 44?

not so much but been reading this long thread and some one mentiond that VP bypass solenoid may be the problem, I have not heard that before and was wondering if could be and how to fix - replace VP44 pump?

I feel diference in levels when going thru them but does defuel alot - what is causing it to defuel? no wot just normal slight hard / half throtle will defuel? tried level 5 it defuels to level 4 the more I push the more it defuels?

So does anyone have any experience with this ISSPRO FP sensor from Glacier? This is the only thing keeping me from installing my Adreline sitting on my bench. I have talked to two different people at QUAD and one says they will have a sensor by the middle of June, the other says they are not going to offer one at all. BAD NEWS!!!!! Also, according to QUAD, the Adreline WILL NOT monitor fuel temperature until there is a FP sensor installed. MORE BAD NEWS!!!!

Someone, PLEASE chime in. Thanks

I was told FP sensor would be offered in June by Quad can purchase then and you are right it is BS. It is things like this that slowly lead to the problems with Smarty, little things first. I was towing with the Adrenaline with level sit on 3 and towing GVW of 21,000# had some nice grade 6%. I to have it set egt at 1250. A number of times it defueled to level 2, 1 or even 0. I currently not towing have it set at level 1 and I have yet to get it to defuel. I can only guess it is doing what it can to ANTICIPATE egt trying to keep it down. I am not worried so much with the defueling actually and was satisfied with the performance. I was wondering what it would do under higher sittings and that was answered.

I have another tow in June then will remove the pulse for return to quad. The bottom button(enter) does not work very well in fact pretty hard to use. So after June will call for a RA # and let you know how well the customer service is. Lets all hope it is better than the thing with FP sensor!!!!

Quadzilla adreniline VP44 performance sold without fuel pressure sensor? lol

whats the main cause of VP44 failures? low pump fuel pressure!!!
