Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Question about oil pressure gauge.

Does the oil pressure gauge read at the pump, or after the oil circulates through the engine. It takes several seconds to read with the cold, and it makes me a little uncomfortable.

It's at the back of the block on a galley. When it's cold it takes time for the pressure to build do it's doing it's job.

Mine does the same. You can add an aftermarket gauge though just to be sure. It wouldn't be hard. I've thought about it.
