Thanks to all who replied,

I have checked out all the web sites and Monday I'll be on the phone to see what everybody has to say. From what I've read on Goerend's site, I like the way Dave thinks. It's just not valve bodies and torque converters, it's the inner workings of the transmission, seals, tolerances, keeping the oil where it's supposed to be and the constant pressure it's supposed to be at, etc. etc. . Goerend has a vendor in Fl, some 280 miles north of where I live but I think it will worth the trip. I also felt pretty good when I spoke with Shanti at DTT. They've got a DTT trained trans. man in Miami, FL about 35 miles south of me. I think Bill thinks along the same lines as Dave. I feel they're out there to give you what you need, not what they want you to have like at one of the other 3 letter transmission shops out there with there high pressure sale guys trying to make a quick buck. So by tomorrow afternoon I will make an educated choice and "Get-r-Done". :D

Thanks again,

Ron

RE:ATS,BD.DTT.GBros Suncoast

Hi Ron,where Are The Two Trans. Shops Located Here In Fl?im In Miami. Thanks, Bill

Bill,

From what I was told from someone at Goerend Transmissions, they have a vendor in Webster, FL. called Inline Performance Diesel. I was told to talk to

Todd, and his phone # is 352-568-7591. They're about 20 miles south of Wildwood which is about where the Turnpike ends and joins I-75 and about 290 miles north of Ft. Lauderdale/ Miami. I know it's along way to go for a transmission but if you've read all the replies to my post, Goerend comes out on top. I like gettin out on the road so it's not problem for me. Goerend's web site is http://www.gbtransmissions.com/

As far as Miami now I don't know where that shop is yet. I have to call DTT back after 12 because they're located somewhere in the State of Washington so that puts them in the Pacific Time Zone. Last Wed. I spoke with Shanti and she told me they had a DTT trained trans. mechanic in Miami and his name is Richard Aries and that was all she could tell me because everyboby was splitting for the holidays and for me to call back Monday and ask for Stefan. DTT's # is 866-504-4002 and there web site is http://www.dieseltrans.com

So Monday I'm going make a bunch of phone calls to all the transmission shops and listen to what they think I should have, weed out all the BS and make a choice some time Tues.

Ron
