The brakes on my great beast at 95K are making me crazy!! I hate the rear drums and crappy parking brake and it is time to conquer them with a complete rebuild with all new parts! I also want to force some thin oil or graphite fluid down the bloody E-Brake cable if possible. I'm looking for the solid advice that always comes from a question to this forum.
Where should I get All New spring, levers, adjuster, etc. that go into those contraptions back there that are supposed to help some with stopping and not drag and rear-wheel hop at 25 mph when they are not being asked to apply their shoes?!?! ARGH!
This rear brake re-build plus the major flushing of the hydraulic system and the thorough cleaning and lubing of the front calipers and pins is the next good wrenching session coming up on the radar for the weekend.
Anybody with experience in getting all the parts and offering tips jump in. .
