Well, I installed the bushing without removing the column. However, because i tend to rush through the instructions, I didn't catch the part where it says to only hammer the bushing in so far and test steering resistance. So, I of course pushed the bushing in too far, and now it is very difficult to turn the wheel.

I need to now pull the bushing out a little, or all the way and sand the inside of it. I was able to monkey around the brake booster e. t. c to install, but now there is no way i can get any kind of leverage on it to get it back out. I think my only option is to pull the entire column.

Unless someone has another idea, what do i need to know to pull the steering column?

I did the same thing a while back. I ended up screwing a sheet metal screw into the bushing and pulling / prying it out.
