I'm looking to buy 2 19. 5's and was curiouse if any one else was running 2 on the rear "for now". am running duallies with spacers I dont ,ind it for toodling around town, and it looks awsome. but when I hook on 14k I worry because the spacers are just aluminum. look cheesey. I was thinking that the 19. 5s (used $300) would reduce swaying like the duallies not as well but close at least. and in a couple months when I can I'll get 3 more. 2 front and 1 spare. Its time for new rear tires any how so why not up grade. the 225's are the same diamiter and width as my 235/85r16 so it wont mess with the 4x4 not that I'm using it till i get the other 19. 5's.

So next question re treads or new???? I'm trucking from VT to AZ (2900miles) so do I go new for the margine of safety or retreads will do fine?thanks a bunch!!

Retreads should be fine, safety- wise. AS for going for duals, I'd go ahead and swap out the lug nuts on the hub, and put the dual wheels on. You may run into problems with the width, I think the dually axles are a few inches wider than the SRW. If you go with dually wheels on the front, you will need to somehow get some adapters or spaces to move the wheel out far enough to clear when turning. I have seen a few SRWs with 19. 5s; looked alright. It may be cheaper to go with SRW 19. 5s and get a sway bar set up to help out in sideays swaying. Then you can get converted all at once.
