Looking to replace the worn/faded carpet in my 98 12 valve. Any one know of a place that sells moulded replacements that are actually not made in china? Prefer rubber but not sure that they are even made anymore. Carpet is nice but lets face it, the only time they are really clean is the first time they are installed.
The older trucks had the moulded rubber mats, sweep them out, vacuum them, a wet sponge and they looked new. I do a lot of fishing, diving and crabbing and I don't care how good your vacuum is, it doesn't get all the sand that somehow gets into your vehicle.
Thanks!

They sell super-heavy-duty automotive vinyl as well as carpet. I've used their carpet in my '73 Camaro and their tan-colored vinyl in my '81 K20 Silverado with extremely good results. I can't say enough about how pleased I am with the vinyl.

A word of caution: the vinyl is so thick and tough you'll need a very sharp razor to do any minor trimming. You'll also want to lay it out flat in a warm place, preferably in direct, hot sunlight before you try to install it. It covered from way up the firewall all the way to the back of the cab in one piece. My shop was warm, but after putting it in and BEFORE trimming, I left it overnight with an electric heater making a minor oven out of the cab. Much easier to work with the next morning.

The fit is perfectly molded and they leave enough extra around the edges to let you really get it tucked away neatly under trim. Order it with deluxe padding, it's worth it.

This accessory is quite high on my wishlist for my Dodge, too. It makes such a huge difference in ease of cleaning, maintenance, and durability.

No fix I've ever tried has ever stopped the water-under-my-carpet problem in this Dodge, though. I even went for the better part of a summer and fall without carpet just to see if I could pinpoint where all the water comes from. Fail! Mostly a driver's side issue. But that's another topic.

Important: I just checked pricing and color availability and discovered they've changed their website (of course. IT geeks can never leave well enough alone  ). You will NOT find vinyl as a category or option UNLESS you click the little double arrow next to the carpet. THEN a new drop down window opens and the vinyl options show (gee, lets just hide their best product). Don't mistake the floor mats they sell for the full-floor vinyl. Huge difference. I do see they offer sound and heat shield underlayment now, too.

For example, a 1-piece to rear of cab for my '96 extended cab in grey will cost $265.61

Don't hesitate to call them, either. I sure would just to be sure I'm being shown all options (I see nothing anymore about choices or options for attached padding). Maybe that's because they appear to have 2 choices of heat & sound underlayments that they sell separately now? Who knows? Like I said, whoever revamped their website and order form did a poor job in my opinion.

Having carpet in a truck is like having carpet in a kitchen or shop. Definitely not the best choice for a truck that sees wet, muddy, snow-covered work boots constantly and gets used like a real truck. My carpet has stains (probably coffee) that will never come out despite having high quality Husky floor liners.
