Well today while backing into a parking spot I somehow lost the pole behind me and bumped it. Well, there was a small metal box sticking about 4 inches off of the pole and I now have an ugly dented rear bumper. Good side is that I wanted either a drop bumper or a rugged bumper like a Reunel. Any suggestions? Thanks,

Randy

reunell

I have had reunell on a chevy and I put one one my 02 dodge when it was 2 days old, excellent bumper!!!!

My recommendation is this-- get the reunell unpainted and without the stainless covers. Prep and paint the bumper yourself or have it done, the paint job from reunell sucks. Then cut two holes in the bumper and stainless covers and mount flush mount reverse lights in the bumper. works great!!! Also on a stock height dodge get the welded in receiver as opossed to the bolt on one, its only about 1/2 inch higher.

Randy,

Don't feel bad. I did the exact same thing with my 2000 2500 the night I picked it up from the dealer. I thought I'd stop and get a 12 pack to celebrate the new truck, came out and backed right into a cement piller housing a light pole. Look at it this way, from now on you will be very aware of things behind you. I am.

Got ya beat! I backed into 2 short poles at an LSTDR/HAPS (Houston Area Power Strokes) dyno day! By the time I bought the Sport rear bumper (comes in black primer) and had it painted, it was over $600. I guess I'm lucky the bumper is all it messed up!
