RV Head???

Ok, I'm probly being a bit dumb here, but what is the advantage on putting on an RV head like this truck from the DD website that is for sale?



Is it just that this is a cheap head that I am sure was ported?

Andrew, hardened valve seats, which you don't need for your year model. Cheap head, try $2000 new from Cummins. Ouch.

Yours has them , and could be ported.

Add this and a cam, and watch your boost pressurs drop. Much more flow than stock. Then it's time for much more fuel.



For his year model, it makes better sense to use the head he did. I'm in the same boat, too.

Thanks Fred. When I was refering to cheap, I ment cheaper then they would charge for an ISB head for the Dodge aplication.



When you say "add this and a cam, and watch your boost levels drop" you mean and a porting job?
