I think Ive hit gold!

I have my stations that I regular, but this one has topped them all price wise. When ever my buddy was free, he'd take me onto one of the military bases and I'd fuel up there. The Bases were the cheapest 95% of the time. I've found a station that beats the Bases by $. 05 lately.

Route 66 Diesel on Linda vista rd

$2. 71 this morning.

The averages Ive been seeing with the "Sean O Meter" are arount $2. 95, and the base station off Rosecrans is $2. 75.

I hope we can keep this thread going with guys chiming in with thier prices when we fill up at different stations around SD County.

You Texas guys are not invited to this thread :-laf , We know you kill us when it comes to cheap Diesel, there's no need to brag...

FIlled up tonight, $2. 49!!!!! It has dropped $0. 20 since last Sunday!!!!. Finally, less than a $100. 00 to fill up. Hopefully it will come down elsewhere as well. Funny, in some stations around here they are still selling @ $3. 31-3. 49. Yet two Chevron stations in town are selling for $2. 49. It sure is nice to see prices coming back down, for the time being.

Must be nice. On base they don't sell diesel for whatever reason. I felt pretty dumb driving around looking for the green nozzle and there wasn't one. Same thing at the station at Wal-Mart.

I think you got the wrong idea about us Texas guys, I was paying as much as $3. 499 here in my neighborhood little north of Dallas, and they was getting a lot more for it in Dallas.

So far it has been dropping around my area, but not nearly fast as it increased in price.

I believe our neighbors to the north, Oklahoma had the cheaper run on fuel.

Tony

I paid $2. 59 in Flagstaff AZ on Saturday at the 76 station near Switzer Canyon. Every place else was $2. 99, $3. 11 here at home. Hard to believe.

$2. 759 at both Shell and Eagle stations, Los Coches exit off I-8, eastern side of El Cajon. I'll keep watching and posting!

:) Yeah, I second that motion. Maybe publicizing the price leaders will rub off on the others. It's still hard to believe we're thrilled with $2. 75 a gallon. :{

Sean I lived on linda vista in San Marcos in 1960... . same place? I paid 2. 61 @ flying J in Indio on the way to Glamis Friday night.

Bob

$2. 69 today at Route 66 off Linda Vista .

I think I just entered Geek status. I got the phone # to the place and told the owners bro inlaw that was working there that I'd post his prices up on the internet if he kept them low. He was thrilled. The just might work out for everybody...

That MSN link only works for Gas prices and doesn't show nearly half of the stations in the zip codes I tried.

Bob, Linda Vista Rd is in the north corner of the 5 and 8 frwy kind of by Sea world and USD.
