Seatbelt Problem

Are the seatbelts longer on the newer trucks, on my 99 buddy of mine who tips scale at 325 cant get it around him pass. side? he drives an 03 and it fits :-laf

Oh no, I wasn't offended at all! I knew exactly what you meant.



I suppose maybe seat belts are getting longer. People keep getting bigger, so I guess car manufacturers have to respond. I mean, will "I'm too fat to put my seat belt on" hold up in court? And if it will, does that make fat people immune to seatbelt laws, or does it mean they're not allowed to drive?

my drivers side seat belt would hang up on me sometimes when I went to put it on I could only pullit halfway and then it was locked up I would let it retract back into place and drive down the road then afew minuts later it would extend out a real pain in the@%# took it to the dealer and they replaced it they said it was a common thing .

I have sort of a differant issue. .

My driver side is locked all the way in,,( I can't pull it out at all) It is totaly tight againt the seat back,,!!!

l Any idea's on how to get it FREE!!!

Sounds like a sprung ratchet mechanism. I think you'll have to dismantle it.
