At least a dealership would sell you one, they told me they couldn't, and I called 2 or 3 dealerships.

Help

I installed the kit in my truck and the dealer can't enable the B-20 water in fuel program. I was standing there when the tech looked thru all the starscan tool options. Then they connected my truck to the main service computer and still no option for the kit. Did any of you have to have your truck reflashed with an updated file so the option for the W. I. F sensor for the kit would be in the starscan option list?

The Dealer told me that it did not exist, The B20 option but when I went out to the truck with him it was right there on one of the first screens that he pulled up. I forget what is was under but it's in there. Your service dork needs to open his eyes and stop texti his friends..... Lol

I was there with the "service dork" and I did not see the program option. If you know the path to the program option, please inform me and I will let the "dork" know. The path is NOT as in the direction for the kit. I guess that makes me the big dork in charge.

I installed 2 Mopar B-20 filter kits. Used the fuel line set and bracket to the frame for the Fleetguard FF5320 2um filter. The second kit is for the Fuel water seperator used in the kit. Both have fuel heaters and the C&C mounting bracket made a nice second mount and gravel guard (with a little modification). Used all the parts from the kits and a short quick connect plastic fuel line to connect the 2 filters. My truck is a short bed quad cab.

Also ordered in a case or FS19823 Fleetguard fuel / water seperator filters. This is the direct replacement for the Mopar #68020642AA that came in the kit. I will post the Cummins Dealer info for the extra filters when they come in. You should be able to buy them as many as you want.

I am surprised you found a CUmmins shop that would sell them, I couldn't which is why I am going to run the FS19732.

Well I was told the filters shipped friday. Should be in this friday. When they show up I'll let you know if the price is still the same as I was quoted. I almost fell over when the parts guy told me the price. Man that is cheap!

Picked up my filters Friday. The Fleetguard FS19823 is the same as the Mopar 68020642AA. Both filters are the high efficiency - high capacity, Stratapore media filter, and are made for a positive fuel pressure (installed after lift pump). O-ring and sensor included. Cummins Bridgeway has the Fleetguard FS19823 in stock for $26. 50 (picked mine up in Cleveland, Ohio). If you are a Cummins Power Club member, the parts are 10% off. You should be able to pickup at any Cummins Bridgeway shop or ship to you from the Cleveland parts dept. Cummins Bridgeway,LLC

Dealer located the engineer that was involved in the setup of the severe duty filtration kit. The problem with the 2007 5. 9 trucks (I don't know if any other year trucks or the 6. 7 trucks are the same as mine) is that the second water in fuel filter sensor enable has to be done with the StarMobile AND Chryslers' main computer server must talk to the truck to verify that the sensors have been installed. The new sensors have a resistor built into them that must be seen, then Chryslers' computer allows the program to be enabled. Befor any one posts back that I have been lied to, I was standing there at the dealers computer and watched the connection to my truck and the main Chrysler computer. The main computer scanned my truck and all the moduals and notified the dealers StarMobile computer that flash updates were needed. The flash files were installed and the second WIF sensor was enabled. :D

That is correct. The vehicle must be updated to the "bio-diesel" flash which is listed in the factory installation instructions.

Good deal, interesting that my truck didn't need a flash, thou the Smarty keeps it up to date. . thou now I just need Smarty to write me the tune as the Smarty disabled it after the dealer enabled it.

The instructions I have do not note any flash update. The flash was NOT needed for the "bio-diesel" update. The flash I got was for a TIPM update. The dealer could not see the severe duty filtration kit installed with the StarScan tool. The only way for the "kit" WIF sensor enable to be seen at the dealer was to connect with StarMobile so Chryslers main computer could see the WIF sensors installed. I know this for a fact. The first time we tried to enable the sensors I had the sensors UNPLUGGED from the truck and the enabled did NOT work. I then plugged in the sensors and the enabled worked and all is well. I don't know about your "instructions" that you have, but I installed 2 kits from 2 different people and the instructions are the same. Please post or PM me the instructions you have, I would like to see them. https://www.turbodieselregister.com...5/228856-severe-duty-filtration-kit-help.html This is a post I have in the 6. 7 section. Wondering why you did not help me out with your current information????

I was mistaken. I went back and looked at the old instruction I have here and it looks like we have the same thing. Sorry if I caused any confusion.

I just went to the dealer the other day to finally get my SDFK water in fuel sensors enabled. They were able to turn on the B 20 option but could not get the water in fuel light to turn off. The kit was doublecheck no problems were found there,so it's got to be something with the programming the dealer couldn't figure it out.
Is there anybody in the sf bay area who knows of another dealer who is familiar with these kits. I went to auto world in Petaluma thinking they would have no problem with enabling the kit because they are close to farming and ranching. And more than likely would have some experience but the service writer Said this was the first he's ever heard of these kits. The truck is a stock 2005 And I would be grateful for any insight.
