Couple of questions about the weatherstripping belts at the base of the windows on the doors (I have power windows) . . .

1) I've seen it mentioned in passing, but not talked about much -- is there anything that can be done to prevent the weatherstrip from freezing to the window and preventing the window from rolling down when there has been a heavy frost all night?

2) Does anyone else's windows sound like you're peeling out when you roll the window down? I suppose the felt has worn away, and the rubber is squealing against the glass?

Thanks,

On a car i had with slow squeaky windows I sprayed heavy with silicone spray on all felt and gaskets around window. After letting it dry just clean window good with windex. Works great and lasts a while. Do it with window open so you coat everything that touches glass.

when I was stationed in freezing climates I would at night spray the window and wipers with the ice/melt stuff and it lasted through the night no stuck wipers or window. just have to do it nightly

Hmm, another idea to keep in mind. My problem is I'll never remember to do it nightly . . . :-laf

forgot the only problem with this stuff is dont get the color dyed melt. when you do this for awhile I had bright red and green that was all over the truck over a weeks worth. it does power wash off but get the clear if you can.
