2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Sierra Diesel Injection, Reno

Has anyone used SDI in Reno for aftermarket parts & service? I got smogged there (Stupid smog! ). They seem pretty nice and knowledgeable. Where willing to sell me Banks type stuff for upgrades. The one thing that got my attention was when he said that my '97 AT would handle the extra power as long as I "don't mash the pedal". What's the point of extra power?! Thanks for any info.

The guys there seems to know there stuff, but they seem expensive and I don't think they do much of high performance stuff. They seem to be more into the mild setup's for towing.

Have you gone there yet? I was thinking of having them do the valves and timing on the 97 when it was due for its smog check in January and wondered what your experience was.

AMink - did you end up using SDI? I just got my new years letter from DMV telling me my registration and smog are due.
