Gang,
Hardware is ready, alfa test is in progress, beta very soon...
I'm full steam working on the CaTCHER softwares for the CR's right now.
Just to relax a little from that work, I have a question for you.
How should I lay out the ten different softwares?
I mean to say, in the second gen Smarty the even numbered SW's are without added timing, the odd ones increase the timing. Works OK for the 2nd gen, but for the third?
For those not familiar with the second gen Smarty.
Second gen software levels :
#0 = Half power
#1 = Fuel saver
#2 = Adds only fuel and allows more boost ( boost fooling )
#3 = Fuel + Boost + increased timing
#4 = "soft caTCHER" ( similar to #2 but takes a little torque limiter away )
#5 = like # 4 but adds timing
#6 = " Mild CaTCHER" similar to #4 but takes more torque limiter away
#7 = like #6 but added timing
#8 = The CaTCHER, no more torque limiter
#9 = same as #8 but adds timing
Granted, I want to keep # 1 & 2 also with the CR but the others?
How would YOU like them?
One thing to keep in mind. While the SW's for the 2nd gen deliver all about the same top power ( from #4 up ) that would not be very practical for the CR's. Too much power to be had from the common rail, that could/would kill a stock truck( transmission comes to mind)... Some kind of different power levels are a must, combined with what or what not?
Pressure? Timing? Duration?
Gentleman, it's your turn! Shoot them out, I'm all ears... :-laf
Any special wishes?
Marco
P. S. The "idle up" feature will be enabled in all softwares.
