Daniel I have his phone number. I was thinking about calling him tomorrow evening. I figure Friday evenings and Saturdays are not the best time to get a hold of a person.

JB I get so few calls from those people that I don't even think about them anymore. Here is a good place to start.

Then when ever you get any calls instead of hanging up or telling them a piece of your mind. Just ask for the company name and tell them to put you on the "Do not call list". Record the name and report them if they call agin.

I get maybe one call a month now.

Daniel- I was looking for injectors but am now a little short for cash after this clutch. Thanks anyway

I got the new clutch in on friday, had some trouble with the pilot baring, the one that came with the clutch had too big of an OD, got a bushing for a 90 dodge cummins with a getrag and it was the same size as the one that came with the clutch. I had the part store measure up the old one and the found one that worked. I don't know why my flywheel is different but it is.

Took the top cover of the getreg to find out that it has been rebuilt, had perfect looking shift forks, some writing on the underside and upgraded syncros- not brass or what ever. Filled it with 5w-30 valvoline synthetic and put it back in.

The old clutch looked to have been melted, the flywheel was completely blue and it was just a few thousanths from hitting the rivets. The new clutch is the easiest clutch i've ever pushed it sure saves some strain on the knee and the truck got quite a bit faster with no slipping :D . I should have it on the dyno this week.

Guys,

I have a ton of pics. I'll go through them, load some onto the computer and get them posted onto this site sometime this week.

Last night I got to hook the 93 up to the trailer. I know it runs better now then before. Can't decide how much was due to the pump tweaks, and the fact it is cooler and dryer temps then a few weeks ago. After advancing the timing, turning the cone, and adjusting the starwheel up, it accelerates much better under load, and less smoke on acceleration. I did notice more haze at cruising speeds. Pyro readings have not changed, but then again it was quite a bit cooler last night then a few weeks ago.

Thanks for the help guys, still can't wait to get into the pump on the 90!

Yeah thanks again Greenleaf for the VE 101 class. I'm an expert already :D . Done been in and out of both my pumps, first one off the truck (a ton easier to do than on the truck:mad: ) and the big pump on the truck. Now going to pull it again and modify the 374 spring, its too long :{ . It's much easier than I thought. Chris, Daniel, we should get together over that way if you two want to do a gov spring, afc lever grind etc.

You guys thought my truck smoked before, you should see it now with the 93 pump top on it, which has a ground afc lever in it  . Starwheel flush at top, stock fuel pin, and tight afc spring, smokes quite bad down low. I can see why KTA recommends a stock afc lever with this pump.

Just got back from the high school. Truck dynoed 301. 4 HP on the dyno jet. :D We have no optical rpm sensor at the school so I don't have torque numbers. Couldnt get enough load on it though. Could only hit about 27lbs on the boost gauge where it maxes the 30 lb guage on the street. I was really impressed with the numbers since I still have stock injectors and baby H1C.

Thanks Scott and Bill for the work to get it there.

Huhhhhhhh!!!???????

So what YOUR saying is that your truck makes over 300 hp... ... ... ... has NO computer AND (probably) achieves MUCH better fuel economy than that of the NEW trucks :--) :--) :--) :--) :--)

I refuse to believe it :-laf :-laf

GL, great pics. Hey Bill, you might have a slight rust issue on the gate!

If you scrape that off you might pick up 2 or 3 RWHP :D Next year I'm goin' (if honey says I can) ;)

Hey Guys,

Thanks again for coming, it was a great time. Sorry it has taken so long to post. Been kind of busy, farming kind of gets that way in the fall. GL I hate to tell you that the neighbor out did your black marks on the road with Ford Ranger. Oh, did I mention it was a 4 cylinder :{ Just kidding. Thos black marks have gotten several questions from the neighbors. I was able to use my "new" W-350 to haul a 28' 4 horse trailer last weekend. I am really suprised how well a stock pump will pull. I did have an ATS manifold and PDR HX-35/16 on the truck. Averaged 12 mpg of backroad driving. Thanks for all of the good pictures too. Hope everyone can make it back next year.

Black Marks?

Jeremy,

You must be living in a dream. A 160 horse power 1st gen Ram that puts at best 140 to the ground ISN'T going to leave marks like that ;)

I have a Ford Ranger w/ four cylinder and know what it is and is not capable of. :p

I think I figured out how we got Michael to come all the way from Iowa ;) :-laf , a quote taken from last years Cookout and Repair Day/Smoke over Peru #1:

I think we need a pic of the eye candy. I made an assumption that the eye candy was a nice looking first gen truck  now I have to think other wise. Will someone please post a pic of what you guys are talking about. ;)

Michael

Uhh huh, had to come get a look at Daniel's fine little lady, Christine :--) ;) .

But sorry guys, no eye candy pics this year LOL.

Scott you don't know this kid. 20 MPH in reverse and drop it into drive without letting off the throttle will leave long black marks even with a 4 cyl Ranger. :-laf :-laf

Dang it, you figured it out!! I'm always up for some eye candy, just thought I could disguise it in a first gen truck gathering! :D

I was sitting reading my quote, wondering, "when did I say that, its been since last year". You've been saving that for a whole year haven't ya Bill. ;) I'm still waiting for my ride in the big chargered first gen!!
