Michael,

Just take US 24 east from I-55. It will take about 3. 5 hrs from Bloomington. I think it would be sage to plan on 15 to 20 people. Philip has a better idea. I think the list is: Michelle and I, Philip, Mr. & Mrs. Greenleaf, Bill Gilbert, Daniel Puckett and his G/F, Chris from MO, Cade, a few more that I can't think of right now. I am sure there will be a few who haven't e-mailed or posted also. I have the camping sites all mowed up. The rain is washing them off as I type. See everyone this weekend.

Just 2 more days

Jermey, looking forward to you setting up the timing on my truck :-laf , if we have time, I'd like to check mine. Also lookin' forward to Greenleaf's GSK demo, you'll have to show us which little lever we need to grind off. I just adjusted and replaced my intake springs with the 60's so I'm ready for the high revs. :D I did the exhaust springs when I put the exhaust brake on, so now I've got all 12.

Sorry about the convoy, or lack thereof Michael.

Yea we got poured on today here too, I went out to cut grass, and like an idiot, I thought that I could beat it. Needless to say, my boots, pants, shirt, socks,... . etc is drying out as we speak.

55 to 24 works, or I sometimes take 9 to 57 to 24. Just a warning- 24 is a VERY boring road with plenty of small towns. Watch for the road signs when you get to Monticello in IN, and make sure you take the bypass around Logansport. We'll have a sign with "Sweeten" at the end of the drive.

We have some leftover plates, bowls, etc, so between the 2 of us we should have plenty. Everyone bring a lawn chair :)

Also everyone on Friday- let us know if you are arriving later than 6 and still want to go out to eat with us- so we don't leave anyone.

I finally got my own account so I can stop using my dads :)

I might be a little later then 6 but hopefully won't be I'll be leaving here in a few minuetes. Everybody have a safe trip and I'll see you all there. :D

All you early arrivers... . well while you guys are enjoying your pizza, I'll be working til late in the morning... but if I can stay awake, I hope to arrive there by noon Sat.

Its about 4:30 here, I gotta shower and put some clothes in a bag, and I'm out the door. It will be 7-8 hrs or so before I there.

Michael

Fuel in Terre Haute and Indianapolis is $3. 00-3. 15 and rising. I should be able to get there early am now. Just gotta run to Eville and back.

Rocky Road brownies ready, truck packed

Just have a few things left here at the shop to take care of, then we're heading out. Couldnt talk her into camping, (would have been a whopping $15 cheaper than the motel), so we will be in kokomo Fri nite, then at Jeremy's by 10, hopefully 9-9:30. We are bringing some rocky road brownies, and some of our own food for our travels, that you'uns cant have none of ;). See ya all tomorrow.

CShafer and Greenleaf have made it in so far. I was out there till around 8:00 or so then we convoyed into town for pizza. They went for pizza. I went home. I don't think the people there would have had much of a appetite if I would have went in after 8 hours of doing metal fab work. LOL

I'll be back out there tomorrow morning. :D

Here are some pic's from this years meet. :D

We had a total of of 9 trucks there not counting Jeremy's three trucks. :-laf

The first pic is the line up. Jeremy had his new W350 apart and it didn't make the pic. I will get some pic's of it this week some time and post it also.

The 2nd pic is Mrs Greenleaf and her Truck.

The 3rd pic is Greenleaf and his truck. Sorry Scott this pic is darker than I would have liked.

This pic is me.

I'll get pic's of Jeremy's new truck later on and post it here to.

If anyone has some of pic's of the work going on post them. There was a lot of pump work being done this year. :D

CShafer found out he needs a bigger boost gage now. :-laf

I hope everyone has a safe trip home.

I made it home

Well I just arrived home from my trip out east. What a great time!! Thanks to Chris and Cshafer for helping me setup my tent around 1 am saturday morning after I arrived. Nothing like setting up a tent in the middle of the night. Special thanks to Bill for a stacked cummins alarm clock at 6 am on saturday morning :p. Scott(greenleaf) put on a pump operation and modification school that was great. My favorite comment was something like this. "You'd be suprised how much stuff you can take out of these pumps and they still work!! :-laf :-laf Now I guess I need to get a dremel tool, and get the pump pulled off my 90 start bombing. ! :D

With help from Scott and Bill I made some adjustments on my pump. First off I wanted to clean up the smoke a little off idle, which we did, and I went for a test drive, then came back and adjusted it back so it would smoke. ;) Guess I might need a 16 cm housing. The timing was advanced a little, the fuel pin was turned to its steepest setting, sorry no grinding on this one yet, and the washer was thinned on top of the fuel pin. It was not extremely noticable improvements on the test drive, but on the way home I did notice better response, and hmmmm more smoke!

After the pics were taken I made two HUGE mistakes. First off, I turned the ram head around on Bill's truck, I really thought he was going to kick my butt! The second mistake was riding in Bill's truck and watching the boost gauge, and feeling the acceleration. Seems my truck does not pull as hard as I thought it once did

The smile on Cshafer's face after a test drive could not be wiped off. Greenleaf and Bill helped him out, and he was very impressed with the gains in performance.

Got to see some very nice trucks, meet some more great TDR people, and to top it all off my truck ran clear out there and back to Illinios before I fueled it up. On the trip out it averaged 20 mpg. Its been quite a while since I have seen that.

I had a great time, thanks Jeremy and Michelle for letting us come out to your place and bother you for the weekend. Jeremy, Michelle, Philip and Mrs. Philip  thanks for working and putting this whole show on. I had a great time, and hope to do it again.

Oh yeah, its only 357 miles one way from my house to Jeremy's house. What a long ride, especially that very boring highway 24.

Michael
