All right guy's its time to anounce the 2nd annual cookout/repair day. Its on Sat. Oct 1st this year.

Jeremy/Case500D will be hosting the space for the event agin. :D

greenleaf and I will be doing minor repairs if someone needs some small items done. If your thinking of doing anything bring everything you might need in the way of parts. After 12:00 finding parts around this area is very spotty to say the least.

We will need RSVP's from people going to attend. That way we can plan for the amount of food needed. Carry in dishes are weclome. Let us know what you plan on bringing so we can corrdinate. I will be furnishing the hamburgers/hotdogs agin this year

Please send a email to -- email address removed -- if you plan on attending. (Put cookout in the address line to stop my junk filter from deleting it). About a two weeks before the event I will send out directions to Jeremy's house.

Lets see how many 1st gens we can get this time. :D

Philip will be performing MOST of the work this year... ... ... ...

 :-laf :D :p

ROFLMAO

I'll probably be bringing BOTH first gen trucks this year. I plan to arrive Friday, early afternoon. I'm NOT helping to bale hay. Maybe bring along my John Deere 720 Diesel to show Jeremy a real tractor. Expect two little divets in the lawn again this year too!! LOL

I guess we can come, too, along with some extra chilli fixings. That's too far ahead to know exactly when we will get there. Might make it Fri nite, since we BOTH live in Cape Girardeau now.

Daniel

looks like daniel might get the longest travel award. lol about 385 miles. thought i had a long trip at 175 miles. that is unless cgauthier is coming from canada again. cant wait. see you all there.

I'm tentativly planning on coming. I want to do some more pump tweaks, like advancing the timing, maybe some 3200 rpm gov springs, dunno what else. More wanting to come out and visit.

Michael

Unfortunately, the good folks at the Lazy P have determined that I have to work that weekend. :{ Besides, we're also attending the Travco Rally in Prizer Point KY, the weekend after.

Maybe next year. :(

Don

Partsman- I empathize with ya, though I think I'm just waiting for cooler weather.

Talked it over with the little woman, and we ARE going. Leave Fri nite, motel in a local town (Kokomo, Peru, et al) and get there Sat AM BEFORE 11:00. She talked about making some Rocky Road brownies- anyone up for that? Need to know how many pans to make. 1 pan for me and Bill... .....

Philip what do we have on the schedule for work? Any kdp's? I heard maybe a governor spring install?

Daniel, you better motel in Peru and not Kokomo this time! That way when you two wake up at 11am, you won't have an hour drive:rolleyes:. I'm gonna try to get the Friday before off, so I can camp there and be up Sat am. If not, I'll be there around noon on Sat.

How long does it take to Greenleaf-ify a pump? Can it be done in an afternoon? I can remove the pump n 40min. Also, if anyone needs something simple done- valves, pump timing, pupm tweaks, injectors, etc, PM or email me. -- email address removed --

-DP

PS- there is only going to be 2 pans of brownies- Looks like Bill and I will have to cut back. :D

How many are going to attend smoke over Peru? Looks like i won't be able to make Shieds event so I thought I might drop in on Peru the following week. Hope to meet a lot of you there. Its about 300 miles for me from iowa, but a little closer than Shieds.

Our event is Oct 2nd. Thats about a month after Schieds.

Right now looks like around 5 to 10 showing so far. But you never know about late comers. :D

If you want to bring a tent. We can find a spot for you. If you need a hotel phone number to make reservations. I can get them for you.

philip,

how does jeremy feel about campers. im sure he doesnt want a bunch sitting around. if he does not want them i will need to search for a nearby campground.

We had the 1st gen house last time ;) . I think if you can back a trailer up and not use his front yard to put it next to the gooseneck. . it might be ok :-laf .
