My 95 Dodge diesel has two batterys and a battery In the rear because Its a Class C motor Home. The solenoid gets very hot when the truck Is running. I don't think that right. I change the solienoid with a new one that made no difference and the new one gets hot also.

Did you buy a starter solenoid or an RV battery solenoid? There is a big difference in the coil current. Starter solenoids have to close fast and hard to minimize sparking, but have a short duty cycle. RV solenoids use a much lighter current draw but can be in use for hours at a time.

I got a RV solenoid I know the difference

I went to a RV shop to get the solenoid. They could not ffind the problem either. I was planning a trip out west but will half to put that on hold until I get this fixed. Tomorrow Is another day.

The battery In the rear tested bad?
